Funny, I was reading about your setup in carcraft last night and couldnt believe you were running 9's with stock rods. Pretty cool... for a while. How many runs did they last?
Thanks you guys. I really don't know where they got that "stock rods" thing from, I was running a set of (used) carrillo type h beam rods. Car Craft also mentioned the valve sizes for my stg 2s', but they were wrong with that too, the intakes are like 2.260, and they spelled my last name wrong..... Motor only had about 15, 1/8th mile passes, and 4, 1/4 mile passes before it went away. The Pinks aAll Out,Las Vegas, will air on Thurs. (Thanksgiving), my friend said that he has seen my car on the commercial, so they might show the pass I did when it blew up and oiled down the track. I'll be lucky if I get it back together by the end of Jan.
Luck must been riding with you. High 10s was the Field. Doesn't your car run 10's on the Motor. You had a Buick out there sorry to here about the Engine. We are looking forward to Pinks all Out coming to Denver,CO We are going try and take 2 Buicks mybe 3 Buicks.
I also saw it tonight and you indeed made a great save. I was hoping that pinks all out would come to Beech bend in 2008 but learned yesterday that it was not going to happen. Anyway, glad you kept it off the wall and will be back after repairs.

Ya know, I didn't really appreciate that "change the shorts!" comment from that Nate knuckle head. I thought that they'd come talk to me in the pits, but didn't, other racers, and some track officials did come to see if I was OK, funny, we didn't see any of the Pinks Crew wandering around, it was very hot out, and any chance the host Rich got , he headed straight to his motor home.....Seriously, I didn't get scared, wasn't even shaking when I got out of the car, I just did whatever possible to keep from hitting either wall. Pretty sure I'd have had a mental break down if I'd have dented "my baby". I wish I could get some Royalties off that "show trailer", then I'd actually have some cash to get this thing running again!I thought it was pretty cool to get that much air time on the show, I'm already planning to go to the 2008 Pinks All Out finale in Northern California. All i can say is Nice Driving I have the Hole show recorded on my DVR. When i saw your car I rewound it a couple times to watch it again..
