Sorry to hear that y'all got rained out. It actually cleared out here enough to drive the GS to the HBC meeting, but no one showed up for the usual Sat night car show later.
it was kind of a bummer but we can live through it... It turned out to be an eventful day for me anyways. I decide to work on rebuilding my door hinges got three done ready for final paint. I have to redo another bottom hinge and they will be finished. :beer
I'm so bummed... I was in San Antonio Fri-Sat, came back to Abilene by way of Austin Saturday, hoping to drop in on the picnic and say HI to some fellow gearheads. IT RAINED THE ENTIRE WAY HOME!!!! The stretch between San Antonio and Austin was the worst, it was coming down in buckets. And I've got a small leak at the top of the windshield, right above the steering wheel. Drove me crazy until I stopped at a Lowe's and put some tape clear across the windshield/chrome. :eek2: :ball: :spank: :af: :blast:
Yeah, I know, but this is twice for me missing you guys...so I'm putting the Brand X bash on the calendar in ink this year... :TU: When I went by on loop 360 (between 1:30 and 2:00), it was raining so hard that traffic was down to about 30mph, wipers on max, visibility about 75 feet... I took the hint and kept going on by...grumbling... It took me 6 hours to make the normally 4-hour drive ...but I shouldn't complain, the cool wet air and slower speeds got me 19 mpg, so there's the silver lining!
Are us Olds guys still invited to the December 11 picnic? Is it still at 2:00 at the same park? Thanks! Ben
Ben, Ali was going to send everyone an email. Did you get one from him yet? if not harrass him for me... and have him send out an email... :beer
