Seems he's okay. Cuts and bruises etc. I understand he had a split second to avoid hitting the girl who pulled out in front of him in the door, and hit the car elsewhere. She's okay to. From the description I got from his brother, his Turbo Regal is destroyed  Thoughts and Prayers tonite for our Buick bud Dave.

Yeah! Dave's alive and sore. The girl is doing well too. He did swerve to miss her door and caught her in the driver's fender. The car is pretty much a loss to the insurance company. I can see it getting rebuilt or at least most of it being salvaged for another car though. Here's a quick desciption: The pass front wheel (tire still has air in it) is pushed against the firewall and the bumper is against the tire. The turbo is still intact and the motor looks intact, the intercooler is probably gone. The shifter wouldn't go into park so I imagine the driveline is tweeked. I unhooked the linkage and put it in neutral to tow it down to another collision shop that John Cordial works at. The driver's side frame end is in reletively the same position, but bent towards the outside of the car. The fender may even be salvagable. From the firewall back the car seems in good condition, although someone mentioned a crease in the roof. I didn't see it, but that doesn't mean it's not there. Her car spun around and hit Dave's pass door and the front of the quarter panel (about 3-4 inches into the quarter). So I think the T-Type limited will live on but it will need a frame and a bunch of front end parts. He thought his 455 project took a long time. I got to get concrete in my barn now for sure. The T-Type rebuilding may take place there. We're going down to look the car over again and make a list of what's bad and good. Hopefully good things are more prominent. Thanks for the prayers guys, I know he really appreciates it.

Dave,Glad to hear you were alright. I know you are a long way from me in Texas, but if you need a frame, i have one for free from my 86 regal with a cage already welded to it. Let me know if you want it. My only request is that you arrange shipping. Shawn

Thanks for your kind offers. It says alot to me about the friends I have made on this board and at Buick Nats in Salem, that yinz guys are the kind of people that I want to be surrounded by the rest of my life. I'll know alot more after my car is appraised and I have secured its ownership.

BTW, Chris your chair was in the trunk of my car in the accident. It was still in there from Nats, Dan missed the last day of Nats so I still had it. It looks straight still.... :Do No:

Well, I used the chair Sat night when I went to visit Eggs. I sat in it and fell straight to the asphault. A screw fell out of it. I fixed it with a couple of flat washers and a nut and bolt. Good as new!! :TU:

    3shields Let's go, MOUNTAINEERS!!!

    Dave,

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. I am glad to hear everyone is okay. I met you and your brother @ Salem, and both of you guys are great. I have a GN Front & Rear bumper in my attic and they are yours if it will help. I think I also may have a front bumper shock up there also. Maybe a bumper filler piece, and a hood pad.

Bummer man, good to hear you're alright. Hopefully everything goes smooth with the insurance... even though smooth and insurance dont really belong in the same phrase. Maybe the insurance company will cough up some extra "buick bucks". The motor in my car now was sponsered buy a semi and and my old truck.

    Best of wishes... Andy
