Aside from what I have read from unsatisfied A-Body owners on their experiences with OPGI, this just cements my gut feeling it would be risky to order anything from them should a Riviera catalog ever be published.

In business it is best to under promise and over deliver.
This outfit seems to operate on the opposite principal.

What's with the hidden code tags when I quote you ?
Do you use Firefox by any chance ?

We interviewed Tony Genty (COO) of OPGI yesterday... said the Riv catalog is in production now and goes to print in December, with units shipping in Jan. You can look up our website (V8TV) to see the interview where I pinned him down on it a little, and he tells us about some of the parts that will be in the catalog. BTW, we started the interview with a feature on the OPGI '67 GS they just had restored. Nice car!

Doesn't sound like there will be any sheetmetal(floors, etc) but if the upolstery is decently accurate and would end up being cheaper than having an apolstery shop do it from scratch then that's another big leap forward. I have my full original bucket/console interior for the '69 but it certainly needs to be redone: rips in front seats, and rotting bottoms of rear seats.

Nice catch - I corrected the "grand" error. Thanks for pointing that out! (Damn spell checkers!)

Hey all! The OPGI website has the Riviera section active. Doesn't look too sustantial at this time, but at least it's up and running.

I've seen a lot of the parts available elsewhere, but there is some new stuff here... Definitely some parts I need for my boattail. I'll wait til the paper version comes out and then place an order.:beers2:

Got a postcard in the mail today from OPG advertising the online Riv catalog. If you aren't already on their mail list, contact them, as the printed catalog is apparently coming soon! Ron:3gears:

Yup... I got my postcard too and of course I had to go check it out. I don't see anything new that isn't already being sold elsewhere... I don't want to get too picky, but I'm kinda dissapointed they have it all mixed up with the BBB stuff.

There is an article about OPG going into the full size parts business in the latest issue of Hemmings Classic Car.
They focus on Cadillacs in the article, but mention other makes and models they are going to have parts for.

    I received the email also.
I clicked on the link to preview the Riviera catalog and found some of the parts listed are for A-Bodys. (Check out exhaust)

I am still hoping for the best though.
