Next, we need to bombard them with specific part requests. Build some momentum as well as a parts inventory.

What I dont understand is what are they going to fill the catalog with? its not like there's a bunch of parts available for these cars. Whatever is going to be in the catalog is stuff that already available from other manufacturers. That being said, Im happy the aftermarket companies are recognizing this market segment.

I have this dream that I open it up and its going to be like a Chevelle catalog!

I would drop over dead if it was like an Ames Performance Pontiac catalog.

    One can dream.

    Edit:
Just saw this on the link.

"Original Parts Group is in the process of manufacturing many "firsts" in the Riviera restoration market. Please be patient as our line of quality Riviera parts will launch sometime in early-to mid 2009!"

So, sounds like we have will have new parts to look forward too.

Just tried to sign up from your link, but it didn't work - press submit, and nothing happens (after all that one fingered typing :af: ) ?
Maybe I'll try thier website. :Do No:

It happened too, I beleive you let it load and it will ask you for your year model features (GS, ETC)

Now email them if you own any rare NOS parts that they can reproduce. Maybe they can use it for molds for new parts. I don't have much, but I have some perfect 71 Riv taillight chrome that you all know you want. Still waiting to hear from them...

They ask for year, body style, options, etc before they take your order. Duh, I think it's going to be the "coupe" body style. But humor them and get your order in. No harm can come from this, right?

The website registration is pretty poor quality, but who cares if they actually come through with some parts?

Initially the "submit" button had no functionality and still did not function once i input name/address/car/etc. It finally started to work once i added 4 cars - you can delete the extras (in my case) later and still use the "submit" button. weird.

    OPG has:

    1. A high stock out rate

    2. A high backorder rate (see #1)

    3. Lousy customer service

    4. Slow shipping

The catalogs are really nice though.......:moonu:

I would make my own parts before I would order from them.
