I need help. Converting a 70 skylark 350 to 4 speed and need pictures showing where the z bar bracket goes and where to drill for the engine ball stud.
when you pull the auto out. You can see a casting nub where you need to drill into the block. I had to do the same thing.
Holes are pre drilled in the frame for the z-bar pivot bracket. You just use the self-tapping screws to fasten it in place. It lines right up.
Greg, where did you find Dave Kleiner for the four speed parts. I need a new equalizer adjuster . Thanks Tim

Davis, Thanks a heap for all the pics and insights. Tons of useful information, your time was well spent. I am doing the same with my 69 Skylark, but have elected to go with a Super T10. Would you mind if I picked your brain on two issues? How did you manage with the back up lights hardware/wiring/switch conversion? Also, how did you connect the speedometer?
The back up switch on an auto car is integral with the neutral safety switch. A stick car doesn't use a neutral safety switch, it uses a clutch safety switch. So you remove the neutral safety switch and replace it with a back up light switch. It's a direct fit. The purple wire gets attached to a jumper harness that plugs into the safety switch. As far as the speedo, if the T-10 has a passenger speedo, just get a longer cable. You likely need a 70"
