OldBuickParts knockoff aluminum valve covers

    For anyone interested, a well known member of this board is currently talking to a foundry about making up aluminum valve covers that duplicate the 300/340 stock stamped covers.

    For those that don't know the 300 and 340 valve covers will also fit the 215 and Rover.

    Makes me wonder if the guy selling these has the mold, I bought mine like 9 yrs ago. Same guy, only guy I've seen not charging outrageous $$$ for them

    They told me they had many sets for the 455.........hope the are decent when they get here.

    They seem nice and flat. There are hole guides to drill the breather fill holes on center. POSTON is cast into the inside.

    Edelbrock used to make a set like that for the bbb......I know where a set is been trying to get for awhile the guy won't get off them, he has an real x car just sitting in his barn doing nothing either:mad:

    I saw Alan Wander (69gs400s) at a cruise meet this past weekend. I know he has a set on Big Red, but I am pretty sure he said he has an extra set. Might be worth a PM to see if he will part with them.:)

    I dont want them for me.......but I'm sure someone would like them if I can ever get them......now the x car.......that's a different story but I'm sure I won't ever have that kind of cash

    Painted the covers Buick Red (Duplicolor DE1653). Needs some touch up here and there. Gonna wait for the new TA reusable gaskets before I put them on.

    I e mailed Roland for my tracking number. He got back to me almost right away. When I went to track it, it said it was sitting on my front porch.:D
