OCA Seattle I will be at the OCA show in Seattle for the remainder of the week, mostly hanging out in the swap meet area, look for the white 24Ft Wells Cargo. Also will have the 71 W-30 convert in the show field (I know this is painfull to the PSMCDR and FAST crowd). Stop by and allow me to put a face to your e-mail address. :beer
Paul--Unfortunately I am not making it this year either--so that makes two fanatical Olds people that you won't have the pleasure of talking to!!! (Note: I was fortunate enough to meet Jim and John last year in Minneapolis but needed more time to b.s. w/them and this would have been a good opportunity). Guess I'm going to have to wait til Bowling Green (GS Nats next year) and Dallas. The real reason is I just love the 105 degree days we have down here now and I think any nice cool weather would cause a shock to my sytem!! Enjoy the show and buy/sell some cool parts. Thanks, Patton Edit: the true reason (or at least the reason I give myself as an excuse) is I'm in the finishing stages of the car in my avatar---as you probably well know--you can find a million ways to spend all your $$$ when you are finishing up a car. Breathe some of that cool air up there for me!
Olds Guys, Do you know where in the Seattle area the show is being held? What would be the best day for a Buick guy to stop by? Also, for those interested in a side trip, this show is happening the 15 - 17th: Goodguy's Pacific NW Nationals. Puyallup Fairgrounds, WA 925-838-9876 http://www.good-guys.com/events/event_detail.asp?eventID=PNWN05
I tried that, it said what the host hotel was, but not where the event was, maybe it is at the hotel parking lot? Doubletree Seatac Inn
Pacific Raceways is having the Battle of Detroit drag race on the evening of the 16th. I've got something else planned on the 16th so I won't be able to make it though.
OCA Seattle The host hotel and car show are one and the same. Doubletree Seatac, right accross the street from the Seatac International Airport. Swap meet is there as well. The general area is about 15 miles from downtown Seattle.
Thanks Paul, I know exactly where that is. How many cars do they expect for something like this? What day do you think it will have the best turnaround? Good news is they are expecting good weather most of those days!
i will be there to support my Oldsmobile brethren!!! :bglasses: hey Chris, when are you going there? Saturday?
He did not take acar when we were in Mn for the OCA last year and he is sure not taking one to Seattle. I think next year is in NY. Perhaps then. He has several cars better than anything I saw at the Mn Nationals last year. Now Paul has some winners himself.
Randy, Not sure if I am going or not, I may have someone coming on Saturday to look at buying my 70 convertible.
I believe that next years OCA meet is in Ft. Worth, TX. My car may have to make it down there again as it was originally purchased at John Poppell Olds in Ft. Worth. My understanding is that the dealership is long gone. As far as Bowling Green?? o No:
Dave--Next year is in Dallas again and Bowling Green after that is what I am hearing. ALSO--pm'd you about a car I am trying to track down for someone. Thanks, Patton
aw, man! you could easily sell that at the Nats. p and wait... is this the white GSX clone? where are all these cars coming from and going to?! o No: well, give me a call if you can meet up on saturday. we should prob be there around late morning like 10ish... 206-240-4933 :TU:
Dallas is way too hot to have it there in the summer. If a southern state is selected then it needs to be spring or fall.
