Not a Buick, but thought someone here may be interested or know someone that would be. A friend has been tasked with selling his late Uncle's 1968 Shelby GT500KR for his aunt. He does not do the internet (other than looking on it occasionally) so I offered to help him. My understanding is his late uncle (recently passed) was the original owner of the car. It has ~38k miles. Hasn't really been driven in 30 years but has been cranked regularly. ( it is currently running now ). It is white with blue stripes. The car supposedly has factory A/C, PS and PB and a 428ci/4spd. He also has 4 sets of original Shelby hubcaps (car has factory Shelby alum wheels) and some other misc odd/rare Shelby items. Car was said to have been bought new in/around Ozark, Al. and resided in central Alabama for the last 50+ years ( and still here ). I am simply going on what I have been told! The price is NOT cheap (~$250k starting/asking), so PLEASE only if you are SERIOUSLY interested text me at 205.420-8311 and I can put you in touch. No picture collectors please! These are all I have! This is just after he had it professionally detailed. I have nothing to do with this other than helping him put it out there. Thanks! Warren Pierce..
Thanks Mike. Amazes me that stuff like this is still out there. I have been out of cars for a while. Still have my 65 442 but it just mostly sits in the garage. I haven't had any buicks lately. I still look at the forum every couple of days though. Lol.
Pretty car...looks like one I appraised, but likely isn't. Those KRs are blisteringly fast and quite a handful to drive. And the problem is I don't fit in one to drive it, so I was only a passenger when the owner showed me what it could do.
Wow! Now that is a car. Love the 68s and a KR! I was just looking at the Legendary Motorcar site a few days ago drooling over a one owner 1968 Shelby GT500KR they have for sale. (Not as good as this one - Auto) It amazes me how many original owner muscle cars are still out there.
