Hi everybody - just found this group and I’m already geeking on all the info available. I have a 67 GS400 that’s been sitting in my garage for 15 years or so, finally I have the time to get her back on the road. The car has 88k miles on it which I believe to be actual mileage, as the saying always goes it ran when I parked it. It ran ok but felt like it should have more, so I’m thinking about pulling the engine to get it refreshed and pump gas friendly, with some mild performance upgrades, and swapping in either a more modern overdrive automatic or possibly converting or a manual trans. If anyone knows of a good Buick engine shop in the Denver area or surrounds I’d lo

Welcome from Chicago! Sweet lookin' '67 ya got there, really like that color combo. Always glad to see another '67 GS join the group here. I'm sure someone will chime in on your search for a nearby engine shop that knows Buicks. Good luck, Nick

Welcome! There are plenty of builders on this site - make sure you find someone with BUICK experience. Its worth shipping your motor, if need be,

Welcome to the site and glad to see another Buick around locally! I would give Sigy's Machine Service a call regarding the engine machine work (assuming your putting it together). He is up in old Westminster:
    4155 W 76th Ave, Westminster, CO 80030
    424-7465

I look forward to seeing you and your car around town.

Welcome. I have never talked to Sigy's about Buick stuff. I would suggest Blue Oval Performance. One of the machinists there used to work at T/A Performance.

Welcome! I’m in Lakewood over by green mountain.

A friend who passed (RIP Kenny462) recommended the block shop but I’ve never personally used them.

I’ve used Gunn automotive for non buick related engine work and I was happy with their work.

Welcome from Central Florida. Looks like you're starting your work with a pretty all-together GS. Does it have buckets and a console. Post some more pics if you have them.
