What is wrong with you 350 racers or stock for all that matters!!!

and I am not talking about the real hot 350's that run in the NHRA or IHRA

I am talking about all you boneheads that talk all your crap on here.

Are you guys that weak you can't make it to an important event like this.

I know there are some 350's in Northeast Ohio

All this F***** talk on this section and site and not one show up.

I was the only 350 there and my motor is now 25 years old and has never been opened up since then. I have no stinking idea what is going on underneath that intake.

But I know one thing I sprayed my old motor with a 80 shot of nitrous and ran 3 times in the 12's
    12.53@105 12.45@105 and a 12.39 @105.

If I had not red lighted in the first round there would be another 12 sec run Normally I run around 13.80 or so on the motor..

I have read this 350 talk for over 10 years now, on how I am going to do this I am going to do that I am waiting for this part or this or that So where the hell you all at.

I know... showing off parts that are not doing anything.

and here I am still running the piss out of my motor and NO SHOW 350's to a GREAT EVENT

You all know how many racers were here at Quaker that are from the 455 race section???

A **** load and from all over the Country.

I hung out with a family that went to Bowling Green every year and they never heard of V8 Buick site...But they knew all about the GS Club. They came all the way from Indiana.

That guy did not want to get beat by a 350 either he was buying lane position to stay away from me....
That is a joke he was really a cool guy and was ragging my a little hung out with his family all day

Totally WEAK on the 350 racers and you all have had good parts for what 20 years now.

I don't want to hear excuses either you had plenty of time to get here to beat me

LIKE ABOUT THE LAST 20 years.

    WEAK WEAK WEAK WEAK WEAK

Some people prefer being the fastest guy standing at the fence watching. :) (or behind the keyboard)

I actually feel like I punked out, I’m disappointed in myself I couldn’t make it cause of work:mad:
I’m glad you made it Guy and represented the 350 Buick, you did good and I understand your frustration about all the talk on here and nobody taking it to the track.
Hell I never thought about it last year at the Buick Bash, but I ASSUMED people would KNOW I WAS A 350 NOT a 455, but I probably was the ONLY 350 there last year:(
I was running even with some of the 455’s so that’s why people probably assumed I was 455 also.
I’m going to try for 42’s TNT this Friday

I won't be able to make it this week to 42 got some stuff to take care of.

Didn't mean to gripe that much about it but really , there are some nice parts for the 350 now and with some doing these 350's I would have really thought there would be more than 1 or 2 if you would have been able to make it.

I understand, I could not make it last year because of my job and I went on the Friday night and ran with the locals.

I went down the lanes and asked if they had 455's then I proceeded to tell them I have the 350 right over there.

I have done more than proven this motor can handle some power and LAST so it is up to one of you guys out there to make it better than what I have.

Try playing with the shooters on your carb to change if you think there is a slight hesitation. As hot and humid it is out it may be needing less gas.

Put a plate on it use the NGK plugs back the timing down and keep the bottle pressure at around a 1000 lbs.
I am using and run a small 80 shot and the motor will be fine and you will then be in the range of those hot 455's and such.
My bottle pressure had gotten up to 1200 lbs because of the heat getting into the trunk and I was worried about that.
I was waiting for the top to blow off the carb.

I was faster than some of those 455's that were hot then there was those 11 second ones but even then during a bracket race you can hang with them.

Running in this 12.30 range is a perfect spot for racing.

I had noticed and others had said that they were down 3-5 tenths because of the heat and MPH and I noticed my car did not slow down that much. I think it got faster for me by getting the engine all cleaned out from sitting all winter, I barely drove it before I got there to the track. I did one shakedown run on my backroad and that was it and drove to track..

I think that nitrous kept things cool enough to run normally, one of the reasons I wanted to run the small shot to see if this would work, i think it did.

Yea N20 car isn't anywhere near as picky about the DA as a NA setup,...

If I were you I would start on a forged 355...TA heads,..Sp3 ..and a 250 hit,..should get you some 10s ..if no one else is going to do it,...

Wait a minute...are you saying that Buick made a 350 c.i. engine that you can race? It was a great event and I appreciated watching your car run.

I understand you being grumpy Guy :p
It seems a lot of these hot 350’s never make it to the track which is a shame, they’ll never know where there at performance wise

It's probably the wrong year to complain about turn out. I do see your point though. I've been waiting on any kind of dyno/et info with the new heads too.

Wrong year really? Are you kidding me? Those 455's had no problem getting there I guess the 350 guys are all scared of the flu.

I forgot, the 350's are all street cars and don't have enough hp to run against the 455's Heck I guess your right.

That place had a lot of cars.
At least there are keyboard racers on the 350 section they go really fast They don't need to go to the track.

I give up this is just a worthless effort.

Maybe the flu can’t catch the 455’s on the top end?
Sounds like you pulled some strong numbers on your 350! Nice!

I’ll keep my DR’s on all summer so I can go to a track at a moments notice to either 42 or Thompson, hell I may just drive the GS to work and go to 42 after:D

500+ views but no response, must be getting those 350's ready for the track, ha ha ha ha ha.

just think if their was a 350 race section there would be what maybe 2 or would it be 4

I need to change my sig to 26 years racing the same 350 spun to 6 grand each and every time.

    Grumpy out

Why don’t we have a 350 race section? I think it might surprise grumpy how many people take their 350’s to the track & aren’t just keyboard racers..... but maybe I’m wrong? But...... maybe I’m not

    racing section......that's a great idea.
section 1; one racers that partake in going down a real race track.
section 2; one for keyboard racers going down the track in their mind.

I always feel like a Buick poser. Now I am really kicking myself. I need an intervention.
