Newbie, wondering if a 72 hood will fit on a 70 skylark

I need help in figuring out if this is a 70 hood or 72, I've been told it's a 72. If it is a 72 can I still put it on my 70 skylark without issues? I'll be putting the 70 grille and headlight bezels on when I find them. I just want to be absolutely sure this hood will work with the other 70 front end parts if it's a 72.

I'm not sure as I own a 69, but I'm sure someone will chime in on this soon. This site has a wealth of knowledge within it's membership.

 

Hood ornament would seem to indicate a 72.

 

The hood is interchangeable from '70 to '72.

Yep. The only differences I have ever seen is the front good trim and the Tri-Shield emblem on the front. It should work just fine though.
