Has any one had problems with the new tumble finish alu float bowls ? I had to relieve the bolts on the top of the bowls to keep them from cutting into the bowl around the nylon washer area. They look to be somewhat crude & have alot of rough edges. I have replaced the m. block & the bowl gaskets twice & still have a small leak @ sec bowl down on the bottom side .When running it seems dry but after shut off for a while gas forms under the lower bowl area. Up date , Both bowls were replaced by AED with the std HP bowls & brass float level sight plugs .. no more weeps & leaks. ick Thanks ,Mark
Thanks Doc for the reply ,I hope Holley always takes the high road... unlike some of the other carb vendors that have have takin the low road i.e. China built main bodys, cheap hardware & brass fittings ,granted they may preform fine IF you get a good one . I don't ever want to think twice about buying a good old U.S.A. Holley Carb ! Thanks everyone for your replys ick
