I picked up this car from Iowa. Can you tell anything from the tag? Got a few stickers to remove. It has Wisconsin plates. It also has a V8BUICK.COM sticker on the window. Anyone recognize it? 9B37CA36-EE71-4F3B-99BE-2FEE61300A8E.jpeg 96F0C066-4DF2-43ED-A01E-4B67E10651A5.jpeg 5CE0F8F9-03D1-4A99-8F84-68F528F949E9.jpeg A303497D-7ED6-4A19-981A-931CDAB10C68.jpeg

After work I was able to get the stickers off the passenger side of the car. I’m going to try to get the adhesive off tomorrow afternoon. I’ll see how the driver side comes off after that

To remove old adhesive, there is a product I have used for years called Goof-Off. It has worked very well for me. I am not certain if it will affect paint though. I have only used it on glass and plastic.

WD40 seems to work pretty good too, without effecting the paint.

    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

    Use WD-40.
Goof Off contains acetone, and while it might be OK for new paint with a hard poly clear, it will likley damage older paint like your Special has.

When I got the Skyhawk the first order of business was to remove all the stickers. The car had lexan windows and the remover ruined the surface. There was no way to get the glue off so ended up replacing all the panels. Needed it anyway. They were way fogged

It had an Oldsmobile but I have a Buick going together. I have another Buick but it’s going to take a while for that.

I think JW gave them out way back in the beginning, 2002? I've had this one on my quarter window since then,

Goof off will most likely mess up the paint. I would lean more towards wd-40 or even paint thinner. Clay bar might be worth a try. I got enamel overspray on a neighbors car at a job site spraying wrought iron and they got it all off with clay bars.

I worked for about 5 hours today. Starting to look like something. I’m going to need interior stuff and maybe some glass. Windshield and rear side glass are lexan. I need to make a list of needs. 382FBA18-358A-4670-892A-AC9883675AC8.jpeg E9489505-52D2-4395-8C6F-AA5BC9CD1FC9.jpeg A270B574-6988-45C3-90A4-8A7C57E043C3.jpeg F2C543AD-084D-4A2B-BC63-59066F9CE187.jpeg

Sorry. For some reason in my head I saw "Air Cleaner" sorry, I started with the most mild solution possible and worked my way up to acetone, denatured alcohol, Xylene, paint brush cleaner, aircraft adhesive stripper. Those decals had been on there so long nothing was taking it off without fogging up the plastic. Ended up paying around $900 for a precut kit made from a polycarb material witha hard coating on it. Will not put anything other than my race numbers on the new windows
