With the second bottle in the car, I am right at 3200lbs. I run a glide so the 1/4mi is tuff on that Buick block with as much as I spray. I'll get back on the 1/4 sometime soon and get a new "sand-bagging" pass. Even at Rockingham they run the 10.5 tire race stuff 1/8 mileo No: It's a "southern" thing I guess....But Fayettteville Dragstrip is 1/4mi. It just getting there when they actually prep it.
While it may be a southern thing to race 1/8,I just got back from competing in the Division 1 NHRA bracket finals at Indy ,and they ran 1/8th.The reason? Insurance, the classes capable of mph's over 150 mph were reduced to 1/8th,while the slower classes ran 1/4.The insurance costs were much less,so some tracks may do it for economics even though they have the track to do 1/4. gary
Match race LOL I'm in lets do it next year me and you heads up. In in a light weight vs. heavy weight battle could be cars or drivers makes no difference. I'm in
Hey Bobb if you dont try it i know a car that might be interested stock block wit nitrous:laugh: Should be a nice match for him.:3gears:
I've tried if we are thinking of the same car and he always stay's away I think there scared. and how is he going to line both of us up LMAO
you know how it works...............:dollar:  I think you've been doing it long enought that you can find the line and two bulbs.....:bla:
That's alright. I already know how it would end up anyways. Rick would break the motor and Bobb would spin the tires and shut off. :bla: OK. There you go. No need to race now. :spank:   p
I'm not really sure it's "yee-haw" when you see your run go up in smoke but chasin' is racin'. I drove all the way to Ohio to run down the track with Bobb but it wasn't meant to be.....:ball:
Yeah i agree but dont call it limited street call it tha Buick Outlaw class 3000lbs run what you brung. The Other class had to many favoring options. Oh yeah and ditch that 1/8 mile and see who really has enough to hold on the 1320.
Give me a Bulldog block and I'll ditch the 1/8 mi junk. It would be cool to race Bobb 1/4 mile but it's better keeping the motor together and busting his azz over and over again....:idea2:  Limited/Outlaw class needs to run on a seperate day from the regular program for all the guys that race other classes. We need the car count. The rules will probably dropped to something like full bodied frame cars(or door slammers), one type power adder, weight break 3000-3200. Fiberglass bolt-ons ok, any production style trans, 10.5 tire or 325 radial. Class or no class, Bobb's still going to be chasing the juiced-up Buick...
I said "the juiced-up Buick"??? I meant to say "A" juiced up Buick, may not even be mine. o No: Sometimes it's a long way to the top....
That sounds better to me. I "fabricated" myself into a corner with the Sportwagon and if it fits the rules I'll run. I won't be fast, but I'll run!
You know i like simple (because I am) lets see:idea2: . car loses 400 Lbs change motor a little make 200 to 300 more HP. Is see spanked and crying bottle babys lying around cry foul hes to fast it's not fair. Not to mention the v-6 cry baby's they don't even need a reason to let the tears flow. open the rules up and take there excuses away so they have to come play lets show the world that we have some bad ass power adder cars. We are laughed at by most brand x'ers. Let's see some 5.30 in the 1/8 at 130+ lets see 1500 hp + 3300LBS = Holy S&^t batman
I like your line of thinking.....Let's go with it and let the tears flow!!! I would love to see a v-6 line it up, but I just don't think there is enough tissue. We'll even let them use nitrous too. Not to knock the fiz out of your pressure can, but I still got 200-300Hp of nitrous jet left to go so don't feel too comfy. We need to talk Rod into putting his motor back in the Skyhawk with some 10.5's. But something tells me he is short a th400 tranny that works. 1500HP......... You sure are going to be putting that MSD on overtime getting it down the track.
Is this the residual effects of being around too much goofy gas? Yup! He'll be pulling so much timing there won't be any!:bla:
