well my blown up 455 has been replaced by its temporary 430 heart, and the torque thrusts that went to my dads chevelle have been replaced by stars. skinnys in front and a little extra meat in back. now all i have to do is get out the buffer and clean off all the overspray from painting other cars. you would think by now i would know even though its in a different section of the garage, overspray finds everything.at least i can salvage a month or two of driving before the lovely ohio winter shows up again.

I like the look better now :beer

    So how's the 430 compare to the 455?? Is it a 10:1 430??

Phil It really *is* a 350...

I've always wanted a big-block Regal. The fella that built my engine had an 86 GN with a 455 and it was a hustler.

Unfortunately I live in one of the four counties in Indiana that does emissions testing. No late model engine swaps without the hassle. :(

lol actually it runs better then the 455, my 455 was only 8.5-1 and was overcamed with stage heads, set up all wrong. this is a 20 over 430 with bigport heads and a stage 1 cam. less cam and less cubes but more power. still getting it all tuned in b4 i take a trip to the track. this winter im going to start rebuilding the 455. all i really want is an 11.50 that im not punishing the motor to go that fast. dont really want to cage it.

i ran into that too, luckly my car was low enough miled that i was able to get ohio collector plates(no e-check) and now that its 26 years old i just ordered historical plates for it so no emissions there either. and i only have to renew them every 50 years.
