Today, finally, the official license plates!!! In Germany, the authorities are struggling with the red indicator lights, the red high beam indicator light, and even more so with the "small" US license plate format. Exemptions are required, which took 4 months time....

By the way: The "J" stands for the city of Jena, the trailing "H" for "historic car", so you have to pay less taxes.

Lucky you they give you permission to use the small sign in front.
I just got it for the rear sign..
German bureaucracy just drives you nuts..

I wish I were successful as you were. I have, very unfortunate, the big plates front and rear.
    Nuts is about right...

Funny, that in Jena GS 455 was waiting for you, like it was waiting in Schweinfurt for me.
    Congratulation for your endurance.
I am not bothered by having the wide plate in front. For the rear it would be a different story, but I got the small plate w/o any issues.

In the rear it is a matter of getting access to the filler neck.. with the bigger plate it was almost impossible to open the flap..
For the front I just had a small one made.. Not official and without the state emblem. But I don't care.

Sweet ride. What is not to like about RED and FAST. We all would rather have a Buick!
