Howdy, My name is Mike and I wanted to introduce myself. My 15-year-old son Jack and I just purchased a 1954 Buick Special with the original Nailhead and we are going to restore it to its former glory and make it back into the eautiful classic car with all that gorgeous chrome on the grille and bumpers. In a few years, we will be cruising through Hill Country here in Texas with the windows down and the AM radio broadcasting a baseball game. This forum is a wealth of information and I have been lurking for a while. Tip of the hat to all of you who keep the knowledge flowing. Does anyone know where to find the original color schemes for the '54 Buick Special? I have hit a brick wall. Welcome to the board. I had a ‘53 Special that I chopped 2” some years ago. Shoulda kept that! So great that you are doing this with your kid! We finished (are they ever finished?) a ‘79 Mustang for my son. Engine assembly, trans, suspension, brake upgrades, rear end swap you name it. And he helps with my Buick projects. You will have a lifetime of memories.
