dragster is not done, so we will be bringing the 73. anybody have a set of drag radials i could try? the 350 just boils the regular tires.
John you can borrow my Nitto 275-60-15s on Draglite rims but you have to come out to granby Friday to get them. I am spectating NH and bringing the family so I wont have room to haul them up there.
That reminds me........anyone that is meaning to get something to someone or wants to buy something off someone should feel free to bring it with you. I know this event will bring people from a wide area so it's the perfect time for some horse trading with those who you don't normally get a chance to catch. Just remember that if you need a trailer to get it there you might get yelled at when you bring it into the "pit area"
sent you a pm Its killing me that neither the turbo 72 nor the turbo cutlass are ready for this event......
Letting everyone know that the event is on and the weather will be hot, but clear. There's a good chance that I won't be in attendence though. Had a bit of an accident today and I'm supposed to be off my feet for the next 24-48 hours. I'm going to do my best to swing by and see how the turnout is, but it's up in the air at the moment. Hopefully everyone has a great time and I get to see some great pics posted up later. I have someone who may help set up the bracket, but if anyone else wants to do it than feel free. It's 2 practice runs to get the cars and track figured out, and then single elimination after that. You win you move on. Last guy/girl left wins the title of the First Ever Champion of the NED Buick Bash. Trophies go to the top 2.
no problem bringing in you own coolers/drinks,bring your lunch, your grill, anything you want. I have never had a problem there
Bring sunscreen, umbrellas, plenty of water. It's going to be hot and the bleachers are very reflective.
I was only there briefly during the practice runs , so I don`t know the outcome. Was there long enough to snap a few pics, b4 the wife got antsy and wanted to leave. Would have liked to meet a few Buicknutz b4 I left. Did run into Bryan with his Lark. Thanks so much for bringing the heads down for me, greatly appreciated. The track announcer fell in love with the PowerWagon from NY, and also the Black GS, which unfortunately broke at the line during a practice run. What a shame. I took several pics, and sorry if I missed your ride. Here they are---> Again-sorry if I missed your ride- On another note the track is hosting the New England Hot Rod Hall of Fame Nationals featuring DragRacing, Car Show, Swap Meet and Stock/SuperStock on JULY 29th. Open to all vehicles '76 and older.
a lite turnout 17 cars started round 1 and 2 of those were BBC Regals. Oz in his 70 Skylark went the farthest making it to the semis. The sad thing about the finals is that it was the 2 Chevy powered cars 1 running 7.60's and the other 9.60's. My good friend Paul Cassidy made it to rd 3 and broke out running 10.99 on a 11.01 dial
I too was beset by impatient wife and kids. I left just after lunch for the beach. But I really liked the track - though I didnt race this time, I look forward to my next opportunity. I am sure to make the trip again, next time in Buick and solo I think.. We had a great time watching the racing we saw. My son absolutely loved the draggin sportwagon. Very casual day at the track for us. .
