To start this off...Sat. night before last I broke my ankle....did not get it x-rayed for 5 days and only then because I developed Kidney stones:ball: and thought I might as well get it done while I was in the ER... those two things led me to some free time laying in bed so I figured I would bite the bullet and get this finished! Well folks if you have ever built a web site....then you already know- BUT if you have never built one you cant imagine what a pain in the A&& it can be!!! We started off by getting permission from Buick to use the tri-shield in our logo....then designed the logo, then you have to get all of the artwork for stickers...hats...shirts etc. etc. etc. (which we designed all of it OURSELVES!) ou: and all of that is BEFORE you start building the web site! As most of you know I take alot of pictures at every event I am lucky enough to attend, and through the V8 forum here I have made many, many friends...and not all of them live close by. Sooooo to keep up with each other I figured we would just throw up a web site...you know- watch TV "Go Daddy" says its a snap!:moonu: I have re-newed respect for all of you who do this full time/to make a living:Comp: cause the whole process is crazy! Build the framework....add script....work the pictures so they wont take forever to load...add links...figure out the tree models......!!!!!!!!!!!! Rant over...(pain meds kicked in Bottom line....Dad, (Curtis Roys) Tim (Little brother) and I (Scott Roys) are very honored to present the newest web site dedicated to our Buick habit.... www.buickboys.com Please visit it and look around, there is a possibility that your car could be in there from the Nationals or other event. After you look around PLEASE sign the guest book located on the "contact us" page..(its simple and painless) Let me know what you think! And post it here also... I added some links that I have found helpful over the years- but if you know of some I should add please let me know! Yes we are based in Texas, but as you will see in the members rides...that doesnt matter....drop me a line and a picture and if you want I will post your car and story. The site is all for FUN...we will have hats, stickers and shirts for sale at cost just to recoup the investment. ALSO we are gonna take a % of all sales and donate to Jim and the V8 Forum to help keep this great site keep rolling along! We are going to bring all the goodies to Bowling Green and kickstart the start of the site off in person there...Also CC Technology (the company I work for) has become a sponsor for a lot of the race classes at the Nationals....so hopefully we can meet more of you guys this year... ANYWAY...Please look it over and let me know what you think..... PS- I am having trouble with the video links/embedding but cant get it looked at untill next week by the hosting company....so forgive that part! Thanks and....what do you think?????
Scott,nice site and I really dig your motivation for creating it.I never get tired of looking at pictures of Buicks and I will be visiting your site for updates often,especially after the big meets.Whenever you get set up with the merchandise,put me down for an XL t-shirt. Maybe links to the BCA,BPG,Team Buick,etc. could be added(since you asked:grin: ).Good job!
