Ran 9.56 at 138+ today. Can't describe how good it felt to get back out!!! Planning on going out in two weeks again.........I WILL remember my airpan and have the synthetic oil in. I'll call my shot now,I think there is a "forty-something" in it. Buick HP-No power adders :Smarty:
9.56 GOOD job Gary!!! That's definitly a respectable number! 9.40's right around the corner, I can feel it! Steve
Congrats I'm real happy to see you made it out finally Gary :TU: What is your final race weight? Chris
Congrats on that number, that's fast especially being all motor :beer How's your rear susp. set up,what type?,if you don't mind me asking :bglasses: .
Nice Gary!!! Glad to see your back out there. :TU: I just got booted off the track yesterday :Smarty: for having no license, gloves, neck collar, net, cage and so on. ou: Next year....
Good to hear Gary. So is this the "belt-drive distributor" motor that you've been working on? Care to disclose any more info on the new motor? Since you went faster than before, maybe this is a BBC? (just kidding!) While we're on the subject, I lowered my best ET yesterday as well - by 0.01. (see signature) First time out since BG. I guess you could say I'm sneaking up on a 9 sec pass!! Good news is the DA was at 2223 ft. By December we'll have 500 ft air down here. :TU: Have fun.
Awesome..... Nice job Gary !!!! Where did you run it....Norwalk ? Thompson ? PM me when you are going out again..... Take Care,
It's been a good week end for everyone it looks like. 9.50's first time out you know you got a bunch left in it thats cool. With all the work you've done on cool proto type parts you deserve it for sure. Nice job Jeff 9's are just around the corner once you are there they will come easier I can tell you that. I had a good weekend also heres a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Opb51U8c5ds HOPE YOU LIKE
Here was a 1.32 60ft......... Slicks are 3 yrs old so I have some of the new stiff sidewall MT's to put on. Picture distorted a bit when I resized it,Sorry.
Thanks for the kind words Jeff K. Motor is my old 505 w/ S2 Street Elim's. Here is the front of the Engine as it it is now......Everything seems to be living well. I'd say this is the only Buick on the Planet that looks like this
Thanks Chris I appreciate your help w/ parts. Car is now 3370 w/ me in it,It still looks the same so I'm happy. Don't know that I could lose too much more w/o taking away from the look.
Jim Waiting for that thing was ruining my life ou: It's my old 505 BOBBBB has mine,Looks like he's doing well w/ it.
Tom Thanks for all your hard work..You set the example that motivates me to get off my ass and tap into the potential of this car :3gears:
Steve Target is Norwalk Oct 22 the Sunday before the Classic.(Weather permitting) Thanks guys for ALL the positive support. I'll probably be keeping it local for the end of the year,Stress has been high thrashing to get done. I've been working alot of OT at work and still trying to have a life,Need to relax a little now and get over being sick. And,For all that was spent,Look for one of my organs on ebay to recover some of the cash  Hector Rear is a ladder bar/coil over and runs on 10.5x30 slicks,Pretty simple and has worked well for me. On a side note,This was Norwalk's "NO BOX BONANZA" 3-day event,It was nice to see Rich Brouwer who came down w/ some buddies from Michigan. It was also my first time "bottom bulb" racing with this car. Four passes I was .087,.044,.022,.018 on the tree and went three rounds until I got beat by .0058 in one of the best races I've been in. I was .018 and on the dial w/ a 6 to his .008 and one over w/a 1 :eek2:
way Cool! Thanks for sharing your accomplishments, very cool! Miss you all plenty, see you sometime soon! :beer
