What is the difference between these 2 switches. Why does 1 have more spades than the other? 1 was on a tilt column other on a non tilt. Was 1 on a floor shift or stick car? Thanks

Nope, no difference between a tilt and non tilt. Stick cars don't use a neutral safety switch....

It's gotta be for something that gets activated by putting the car in drive. For a cruise control car maybe?

Interesting. The ignition switch is a little different also. Mounting bracket is on opposite side

A tilt and a non tilt take different ignition switches. They're opposite of each other

Okay thanks. Didn’t know that. Will it still wire up the same?

Just for anyone doing a future search and see’s this. After research, The 4 prong neutral safety switch is a 69-71 Pontiac.

The neutral safety switch doesn't know what kind of car it's in. I'm curious what the extra terminals control
