My 17 year old son is redoing a '64 Wildcat. The glovebox door is bent and he's wanting fender skirts. We haven't found either yet. Can anyone help us out? Thanks for the help.:beer

Email Paul Syrdal at wildcat465@att.net for the glovebox door, as for the fender skirts, do a search for "foxcraft" an aftermarket supplier for fenderskirts for car that didn't come with them originaly. I believe they are still in business. Kevin

Unbent Glovebox doors are very few and far between. Does it d have a chrome or satin finish? I would discourage your boy from adding skirts, the flare around the wheelwell wouldn't look right.

It's chrome and it's driving him crazy because the rest of the dash is soooo nice. Why do they all seem to be bent? Is there any way to make sure the new one, if we find one, doesn't get bent like that?

I think it is a design flaw that causes all of them to bend with use. The positioning of the release spring/glovebox light switch is what causes it. There are lots and lots of glovebox doors out there but very few with straight edges, typically only on low mileage cars. I've yet to see an NOS one offered for sale?

Okay, I'm a terrible Dad! I said it was chrome and he now informs me it brushed stainless.... i guess you would call it satin. I've ridden in the thing enough... I guess if it was my Trans AM (don't boo, it's FAST) I'd know!

The stainless is what I would call chrome. This is what I would call satin...
