Need help with putting 455 heads on a 430.

    A lot of good advice for me in this thread. Thanks everyone!

    I took the '70 heads to the machine shop yesterday. Hopefully they will check out with no cracks. I'm using an Edelbrock intake so it takes care of any issues with exhaust ports even if I have to use the '73 heads.

    I plan to plug the oil hole on both dies if necessary and use 455 lifters along with push rods that have the hole. I'll use 1970 or later rockers that came on 455's.

    Let me know if I am overlooking anything.

    Check lifter pre-load, different length pushrods or adjustable ones may be necessary.
