Need Assistance with 1964 LeSabre Accessory Codes

    Hi!

    I've given Mr. Google quite a workout this morning trying to get some information on the following three part(?) accessory code:

    W-2AJZ-50

    I think I figured out that 'W' is tinted windshield. I have not been able to decode the rest.

    Please assist if you know what these codes are, or know of web resources I can look into to figure it out.

    Group 5 letter O = exterior chrome trim

    Group 2 letter Z = could be tilt steering wheel (does it have tilt?)

    Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure if it has tilt steering wheel, and now I'm curious (I'm considering the car for purchase).

    Try looking for accessory codes used by other GM brands, even going up to 1967. Sometimes I find the codes were shared, but never bothered to learn why (maybe built in the same plant?).

    For example, my GTO book shows for 1964:

    W = tinted windshield

    The other codes aren't listed for the GTO, unfortunately - they may be more Buick-specific.
