Nice pictures everyone...keep em comin'. I didn't take out my camera once.. o No: A big thanks again to everyone who helped me take car of my fuel line problems..Nick and Dewey. Thanks to Frank who thankfully studied the fine art of getting a car timed perfectly. ( I will bump up the timing!!! I just enjoyed hearing that smooth buick V8 all the way up to 4300 RPMs without pinging). Cheers on a great time :beer
Dee I took video of the whole first run with the Q-jet. I haven't watched it yet, so I'm not sure how much you can hear. I will get it downloaded to the computer tonight and send it to you.
The turbo was so loud on the other car, I couldn't even hear my car! The other car was a lot quicker too. Makes me look really slow! :ball: Thanks you so much. That's really cool! :TU: :TU: :TU:
Cool!!!!! :TU: Thanks again for all of your help! It's really great to have such wonderful friends to help you out! :beer :beer :beer
Yeah, I got the vid Phil. Thank you very much. Sorry I did not email you back but our f-ing email at home was not allowing messages to be sent out last night. Apparently it is working again today though. Thanks again!!! Ben
Ha ha James! Actually, at that time it still looked like bytes in my camera... Got it downloaded. You can clearly hear the car shut down at about the 1/8th mile mark. Just like you turned off the key, or at least lifted completely. Dee--PM me your e-mail address. I can try to e-mail it, but it is BIG--9MB. If it won't go through on e-mail I'll put it on a CD and mail it to you.
OK, the rest of us want to see some more pictures here on the board  Nick is there any way you can E-Mail me what you got? :Brow:
Is there any way you can mail me a CD? I will owe you big time if you can do that for me since I don't have a computer at home. E-mail me at gs455wannabe@yahoo.com and I'll give you my mailing address.
One of our Houston guys, Ron V. Carlin, took quite a few pics. The plan is to put them on our HBC website. I'll let youall know when they are loaded and ready for viewing. Steve
Heya Brand X-ers. I'm from San Antonio and was driving the POS '71 Cutlass convertible in Temple. I know I was slow, but the three most important things happened: 1. I had fun. 2. I met new folks. 3. I didn't break anything. It was really fun to get back to Little River after a 30 year absense. I don't think it's changed a bit! I'd love to do this again next year...and bring a few more Olds folks...and run a LOT faster! Thanks everyone. C.J.
We had a great time attending our first X Bash, and meeting everyone. Thanks to Phil and others for putting it all togerther. :TU: If anyone has any video or pics of my red 72 GS pictured below, could you please send a copy to me at winoman@comcast.net? Thanks.
James I have a good clip of you launching till about half track I will send it to you this evening. CJ Great to see you keep your ears open for the next event.... :TU:
Don't be calling it a POS because you beat me! :Brow: I was having car trouble though. Thought I had you but mid-track you pulled away!
Naw, Dee...you had me cold. But I think we were fighting for who would run outa fuel first. I guess you won (lost?). C.J.
