Hey guys, if you're following some of my threads, I'm building a 455 right now but I'm on a budget but I drove 10 hours round trip to buy everything this buick guy had and he wanted to get rid of. I think, and hopefully I'm wrong, there might be some Chrysler parts mixed in, and I'm looking toward the old gurus to tell me what some of the stuff is, and if it's right for my application (pro touring daily driver/one in a blue moon track day, but it will driven hard and I want it to hold up) I know some are old school or high performance and I will be selling some parts so if you're interested in something let me know what you want and we can make a deal if I don't need it.

    Here's the crank shaft

Now we have a cam that matches the gears on the crank, double chain setup?
Is Howard a good cam company?

    upload_2019-8-30_20-24-35.jpeg

Now we have these old school pistons from Arias, I can't find anything on web about these specific pistons.

    upload_2019-8-30_20-29-39.jpeg

And the rings are 4.320, that's standard bore right? Too lazy to look right now lol
    upload_2019-8-30_20-28-49.jpeg

Now we have the rods, these don't look like the rods I pulled out of my stock 74 455. Maybe it's hardware, you tell me.

Now we move onto what I believe are 1968 430 big port heads with stage 1 setup. I have a 455 and not a 430 so I will be selling these heads. Guy said these were port and polished and you can see in the pictures.

    That's a steel crank,..what stroke is it?

67/68 Big port heads,.no reason why you cant use them on a 455 tho

Looks like a solid roller cam

    4.31 is standard 455

That piston must have been for blower back when guys thought you had to have 7.5 to 1 comp

This fan is for a 455? I run cooling fans so need for that.
    upload_2019-8-30_20-59-20.jpeg

and up for sale is this TA performance main girdle which I need to clean up and it will be for sale.
    upload_2019-8-30_20-57-33.jpeg
And then I got some ARP head bolts, clevite bearings, I believe those are the Chrysler ones, rear main seal, cranks seals, oil pan, water pump, tilton super starter, hoses, sfi certified flex plate, water pump pulley and a couple of other parts. This was such a great haul of parts.

If you need some of these parts I'm up for trades. I need a TA timing cover, FItech or Sniper Efi Fuel injection setup, notched pistons, gs rear spoiler, And of course PayPal is always good.

So I want these identified but even more important tell me the quality of these parts. Have you used them? What application? Stay away from something?

With a roller you need to keep the lifter centered on the lobe,..the above kit will aid in that

Fan will fit any application with a matching bolt pattern and or more if they are slotted,..dont use it

Check the rocker roller tips for stiff or notchy spots

Stock bore is 4.3125 so those rings may be file fit. The cam looks like a roller, the pistons appear to be for a blower motor, and the rods may be pontiac super duty.

Some of these parts are old and haven't been stored the best so there is some surface rust on the rockers and lifters but I have confidence I'll be able to clean them up perfect, they are brand new.

Yea they will be fine in that regard a solid roller isn't what you want for street use,..I may would be interested in the cam setup depending on the grind

Did you get any info on the crank? You can sell it to fund other things absolutely no need for a steel crank in anything under 800hp

the rings you show 4.320 is a standard 440 Mopar size, and so does the rods also look like BB Mopar. That size will fit the Buick if you go .008 over. Which is what I have experience to make a perfect straight bore on 455's that we have done. That will give you a 457 c.i.d.

That's some great info Fernando! So I guess I have to sell the pistons to a mopar guy or someone on here that wants to do what you have done.
