Hello from here, I will try to present my project I am working since 3 years. May be it will interested some guys here. Sorry if my english is not always correct as I am french native speaking (Belgium). The idea was to built an very nasty supercharged aluminium block. After many disappointements with Rover 4.0/4.6 X-bolted blocks and found the 3.5 (215) too small I finally tried something with an australian derived 4.4 P76 engine but heavily modified.
1) brand new old stock P76 block 3.5'' bore X 3.5'' stroke 2) forged crank form an Terrier who is the truck version of the P76 car engine 3) Omega forged pistons specially designed for turbo/supercharged application 4) Crower 6.250'' forged rods 5) Janspeed Block sump girdle who incorporates main caps
6) Custom supercharged application camshaft 7) front timing cover from Buick V6 Stage with WP125 electric water pump 8) Peterson 3stage oil pump
9) Buick 300 aluminium heads with 1.775in" and 1.5"Ex, D-shaped exhaust ports 10) Harland Sharp Roller Rockers 11) Ex-Rovertec rocker covers with Evacupan system 12) John Eales Big Bore Cast Exhaust manifolds
13) Sprintex Dennis Priddle EFI kit with sprintex supercharger remplaced by bigger Kenne Bell 14) machined in single piece 44mm trumpets base. 15) TWR heat sink insulator
First the crank : an short video to listen the different sound between cast crank and forged crank :http://fr.youtube.com/user/Wotland The Omega forged pistons : Janspeed Block sump girlde unmachined : Modified Milodon Three gears timing set :
I continue with the Buick V6 Stage II front timing cover : Buick 300 heads : D-shaped exhaust ports : Taller rocker covers with evacupan
The complete Sprintex Dennis Priddle Kit : The special Sprintex Plenum : The original Sprintex twin screw supercharger :
Hi not sure if you will get this but where did you get those big bore cast V8 exhaust manifolds for your rebuild in 2008? How did it go? How did you get the extra fuel to the engine, seperate ecu? thanks John
