    Hello fellas,

Here are some pics, can anyone tell me if my engine is an original Buick 350?
Also is there anyone who does a vin history report.

    Thanks guys

Max Damage I'm working on it!

Looks about right, to be sure you would need to check the #'s There are numbers that correspond to the VIN of the car stamped into the original block. There are several threads on the board that tell you where to look for a 1970 350... Welcome!

    Welcome! Nice looking car.

VIN report would be either Sloan Museum for early '70 or Wayne Roberts for late '70. There's a specific serial # cutoff but I don't remember exactly what it is. I believe it's listed on Sloan's website.

    Interior &/or trim tag pics?

Thanks guys for warm welcome and help. I will check out the engine posts.

I will add some interior pics.

one more thing? Is there a good place to find an original door panel in brown? Just need passengers.

Depends how nice of a door panel you need. I know I have one but it may nor be nice enough. @BrunoD may have one that's nicer. I know he parted a '70 w/brown interior.

    Where are you located?

One of the things you can look for is the engine code. The 1970 GS 350 got the high compression 315HP/410TQ 350 engine coded SP. That 2 letter code will be between the driver's side #1, and #3 spark plugs, stamped into the BLOCK DECK surface. It will look like this,

    SP350ID.jpg
The VIN derivative should be stamped into the front of the block on the driver's side behind the P/S pump I believe, in this area,

Coukd be wrong but on a '70 IIRC the partial VIN is also on the deck like the BBB.
