Turbos, wastegates and downpipes are in. Dizzy is locked out!
Now i gotta wait for a 71 + power steering pump
And run all oil feed and return lines.

Btw did i ever mention that i put the vinyl top on myself?!
To all guys who thinking to hire a upholsterer... DO IT yourself i never did it before and it came out flawless.
Most important is to use good products i got the vinyl top from opgi got 3 m heavy duty trim adhesive in the spray can and some. Contact cement.
    Be patient and work clean.

Hey guys I have a timing problem.
I have the car running. But at freaking 75*???!
This seems impossible I know. The timing light should work.

I have a limited hei dizzy. And I supposed to dial it in at initial 12*
There is no way to get to 12* for me the car is shutting down.

I didn't touch any internals the cam was installed at 0 and was timed NA at 34 total timing.

Very weird!? Could it be the ing signal? ( msd 6al)
    Otherwise I'm clueless.

I will take of the valve covers and check on the valves and 0 at tdc I guess.

Timing chain couldn't jump I guess at least I never heard of that.

What timing light are you using? Can you verify the light is good on another car? There is no way the car would run that far advanced.

I 'll double check again but it works fine because we timed my buddies nova a couple hours before...weird

Does it run smooth at that timing setting??? I would not remove the valve covers... Just confirm that when number one is on the compression stroke and the balancer is pointed at Top dead center the number one plug wire is above the dist. rotor.

    Got it..
The dizzy magnetic pickup was loose... Very weird. Had to take it apart .
Now it runs smooth at 12*
The dizzy should be limited at 12* but I get 14-15*
I guess its still in the range..
The vac is not hooked up yet as well as all the turbo vac lines I had to wait for a billet vacuum block to show up.
I 'll do that next weekend as well as the IC piping
But the exhaust is done.. Thanks to my buddy Dave who did a amazing welding job.
Clearance was tight with fender weld on. Had to trim a bit but we made it work.
I will change my column shifter to a cable I think since the clearance is a issue as well as break and fuel lines.. I think they to close to the hot exhaust.
The pass. Side wasn't a problem at all..

Here it is with exhaust into my 3" x pipe ...sounds so mean.
