Arg and I have to be between jobs right now . . . I'll be in touch if luck comes my way, this is a great deal!
I'm very interested in the transmission. Can you provide the date stamping (starts with P) and the VIN stamping? I want to see what it was from. Stage 111 is interested in the remaining parts. Thanks
morning all i am more interested in getting rid of everything , but ---- ? will need the money for the "auto" . i'll look for those extra numbers . mark , where are you located ?
Double checked for extra numbers - Same as first posted plus : GM112773 - front retainer 3915020 - front retainer P7A06 (+7 ? ) - right rear case , vertical Also 7-1 and maybe initials (?) HS on right side of case
Gary , I'm by no means a Muncie expert . I know it's not a M22 ( cause ya know they are ALL rock crushers ) , the lower front shaft size looks bigger than the M20 I think , and just going by what I was told , and their markings on tail shaft .
checking more on that m20-m21 info . fritz , sent ya a PM . really just don't want to ship the trans . kind of a pain . ---------------------------------------- edit : yeah , hurst info makes it look like M-21 ? and front countershaft is 1" which i thought = M21 . and M-20 was smaller size like 7/8" or 3/4" . but there was info on shaft ring grooves also . can't remember that right off .
M20, m21, m22 all have the same countershaft size. Earlier muncies were 7/8", 68-later are 1". Everything inside is about the same, the gear ratio is what makes it an m20 or m21. The m22 has thesame ratio as m21 but has straight cut gears. The gears can be changed out and made into whatever trans you want.
Changing first post info to reflect the points that Gary mentioned . Some web search last night kinda confirmed what he said . Don't want to mislead anyone .
Was a pleasure speaking with you today. Per our discussion I am passing to Dennis to work well for everyone (especially shipping lol). Thank you, Fritz
