Mt. Rainier B-O-P Cruise, August 14

    The North Cascade Chapter Buick Club of America

    The Puget Sound Chapter Oldsmobile Club of America

    The Puget Sound Chapter Pontiac-Oakland Club International

    have planned their third annual Puget Sound area cruise. This year's cruise -- planned and led by the Oldsmobile Club -- is scheduled for Saturday, August 14.

    The three clubs have rotated responsibility for planning these events. I organized the first one in 2002, and here's an online photo report from that first cruise, which took us to Whidbey Island and Anacortes:

    Here's the details for this year's August 14 event:

    Starting Point: Interstate 405, Exit 4, Highway 169 (Renton)

    Meet in large vacant parking lot of vacant bingo hall, approx. 1-mile east of I-405 on Highway 169. Street address is 2217 Highway 169.

    Schedule: 7:30 AM -- Arrive

    7:45 AM -- Driver's Meeting

    8:00 AM -- Cruise Departure

    Destination: Mt. Rainier National Park (200-mile cruise)

    Bring: Snack, Picnic Lunch, Warm Clothes, Full Gas Tank

    Cars for these cruises typically range from the early 1950's through the early 1970's. It would be great to have a few GS's participate to defend the Tri-Shield honor among the Olds and Pontiac muscle car drivers!
