Ben, do you mind if I add these to the Brand X CD I'm working on? (danged job, it's just so daily...)
Go for it James. Of course, I will want to receive royalties on each cd produced :Brow: . Just kiddin. Ben
hey ben, thanks for posting some pics of the trucks. believe it or not, that tubbed '65 chebby is a standard bore, standard stroke 350. we've been tuning and tweaking it for a year now to get in the 12's. he tubbed it for the big block we're starting on this summer. it's gonna be a monster. we're building a 540 ci motor with around 850 hp (all motor, naturally aspirated) we'll sure have it there by next spring. as for my BBB truck, i'm building a 585 hp torque monster to try to rattle that BBC, lol. thanks again for the pics. :beer
Well David, I have always had a special spot in my heart for old Chebby trucks. My high school vehicle was a '64 swb fleetside with a 428 Pontiac. Seems you can easily stuff just about anything in those cavernous old truck engine bays. I am impressed that the '65 is running that strong with a standard bore 350. I should let you guys do some tuning on my Cutlass  . Ben
You're not alone, there's something about those old trucks... :TU: I didn't mind at all that he walked off and left me at the starting line!
yeah, i'm the same way about those old trucks. my first BBB truck was a '65 chebby truck like his. i put it together back in 1987. he fell in love with it. he told me that's why he built the truck he has now, because of my old one. by the way ben, what is that engine from the pic "next years competition" going in? inquiring minds want to know :Brow:
that would be my motor....should be posting more detailed pics in the near future as it gets close to installation. 72 Stage 1 car (see avatar). Nothing too crazy, just a good solid rebuild by Jim Burek :Brow: Patton
Here are a bunch more of the X Bash! http://www.gsxcitement.com/ Scroll down about mid way and click on X Bash
Do you know how to download all the pics. at one without having to save each individually? I don't have time to do that here at work! :Brow:
I have about 45 minutes of video :Brow: but I'll have to go back and look at it again to be sure. ou:
