    Hi all,

I bought a Buick Century 1973 and realised that its has only day lights and high beam lights (flash). Im missing the low beam lights on my car. How am I supposed to drive the car at night when missing low beam lights? I cant use the high beam lights otherwise I will flash the drivers on the opposite line.

I live in Switzerland and the car passed the car check which every car has to take here
(MFK ->Motorfahrzeugkontrolle). How is that even possible? I have a LIGHTS Knob on the left side of my wheel which you can push, pull and turn left and right but none of them is the low beam. please help.

Look on the floor on the left side beside the kick panel for a dimmer switch...You activate it with your foot.

    Why dont you diagnose it??

Are the low beams headlights capable of working? Is there power going to the low beam spade on the bulb? These are the things you need to look at.

Thank you bignastyGS. I tested it and it works with the bottom left switcher. I didnt know that and no one told me that :)

Do you also know what the switch (yellow marked) is for?

Yeah. I remember when the "On/Off/High/Low" lights and "wiper/washer" was moved to the column and all the times I hit the "High Water" and "Bright Wipers" at the wrong time, or turned the lights off in pitch black two lane road in a curve, right after an on coming truck blinded me and passed.

Pucker factor turned up to 11...
