Trying to locate 71 BB or OW trans believed to be seperated from car in NC area in late 80's #100464. Any info will be appreciated. Maybe if I put a description of the car it might help get a response so here goes, the car was a 71 cortez gold stage 1 convertible fully loaded with a pearl white interior. The person who I purchased it from was a gentleman named Mark Miller in Virgina. At the time he was sure he knew who had the tranny but would not give me the persons name and said he would look into obtaining it for me. Thur the DMV's I was able to talk with almost all of the cars previous owners and judging from what they told me the tranny would have been taken out in the late 80's in the Carolina's when the engine was removed also. Unfortunately the engine remained with the car but unfortunately the tranny never was included with the sale of the car to the next owner. This car was a very early car built with a body #000170. As most of you are aware without paperwork a 71 is to say the least a uphill battle to say it is a legitimate Stage 1 . So the tranny is a major player in verifying its claim as a true stage 1 vert. Naturally there would be a handsome finders fee.
