    Hi Jarrod,
Those wheels look nice - what size did you have made? I recently bought a set of 15x8 Buick rallys by Curt and I am very happy with them.

Ok...I will ask the 10,000,000 dollar question...What are the prices for the wheels? shipping costs? I had a set of 15 inch ralleys widened to 15x14's(Stockton wheel) and want to see how comparable he is price wise..Was contemplating having a set of 15x3's to mate to the rears and wonder cost. Everyone else is probably wondering the same thing too..Spit it out boys...How much???

I'm going to send him my 1971 super sport wheels later this year to weld into 15x8 and 15x7 chrome rimshells and paint the middle sections to match my Buick's exterior paint.

From his list of available sizes..looks like he can't or doesn't offer 15x3 or 15x4's. I want to tub my car out in the next year or so(when I have all parts accumulated finally) and want to keep the Buick look about the car.I'd like at least 15x4 with maybe a 1 1/2 inch backspacing.

Curt is gonna do my Motor Wheel Spyders :TU:

I have three NOS centers that he is gonna put 7 inch rims on and a couple NOS 15x6 Spyders that he is gonna cut the center out of one and make it a 7 inch.....the other will be the spare

I bought 2 15x8 with a 4" back spacing and 2 15x7 with the GSX back spacing for the fronts.

I paid $592 for the 4 of them shipped to my door. It took him a couple of weeks to get the work done.

Call him............ he is a nice guy and will work with you.

ok, I'm sick of sitting on my McWheels story...

I for one will never do business with curt again. He jerked me around for a couple months and lied through his teeth several times. I know I'm not alone either, since I've gotten about half a dozen pms from board members with a similar story. this is my story:

I sent him money and he told me I'd have them back in a couple weeks. didn't hear anything for two months or so. not even a courtesy call to let me know he got my MO.then he called to let me know that he was going to start my rims. after that things went downhill. the entire time he lied through his teeth. he even went so far to call me and say they were shipped and to expect them in two days, because he paid for the better shipping since they took so long. well another two weeks go by, He won't even pick up the phone when I call. finally he calls me, asks me how I like the rims in an obvious BS voice. I told him I never got them. He tells me UPS must have lost the wheels, as it happens at least once a year. he told me he would do me up another set and ship them ASAP. I told him I wasn't happy, but wasn't in a rush either. So I suggested contacting UPS to atleast try and find the wheels. he was against that completly. He told me not to worry, "happened to a mopar guy and he eventually got the original set and he was really happy about 4 rims for the price of two". At this point I was pissed so I called his bluff and demanded a tracking number. he told me he has a business account, and doesn't get tracking numbers on standard shipping. Seems to me a business account with ups wouls make it even easier to find a tracking number. plus he originally told me he used the better shipping.

yada yada yada, his story folded, he gave me every line in the book. a week later I got my rims. shipped in a used, beat to hell box with no padding at all. hand written address in permanent marker. Business account with UPS? yeah right. rims seem ok. I haven't mounted a tire on them yet.

but they have been sitting in the corner of my garage for a year now. The insides of the rims are covered in rust, and the chrome on the rims has started to develop surface rust. can you say China?
I'll probably just toss them in the scrap barrell.

My 15x8 rims got lost in the mail as well - took about a month to get them. I was happy with the quality but will inspect in the insides of the rims to see if any rust developed.

Two sets of rims being lost in the mail.. I kinda doubt that.

    >>Hi Joe,
Yeah, after your story it certainly seems doubtful that two sets of rims dissappeared. My wheels are fine - no rust on the insides. I was happy with Curt's work on my rims but now I'm not sure if I should send him my Buick super sport rims to weld in chrome rimshells - they are not easy to find rims and I would not want to lose them.

I'm going to call Curt Monday to see where 2 replacement wheels are that he has been promising me(Oh yeah Curt, I saved ALL our emails we've exchanged over the last 6 mos this has been going on)
He didn't reply to my last email asking Where The F**k my wheels are at last week.
If I don't get the answers I want from him Monday, then I too am sick of sitting on my story as well.

In the meantime, hang onto your hard earned cash, hear some of these other stories, then decide what to do with your money.

It's too late for me and 436'd Skylark, but if I can save some of my Buick brothers some grief, the story must be told.

Hard not to get a bit cynical sometimes. I've been around for a while-heard/seen this kind of deal way too many times over the years

These are the types of posts that are difficult, but necessary.

If you are in business, you cannot have "badvocates" who tell others that your product or service did not meet expectations.

I was going to send wheels in, but not now.

Excellent info and thanks for letting us know your experience. I was "this" close to contacting this guy about getting mine done by him....BUT NOW..FORGET IT!!! He can write off another few hundred $$ in business that he would have gotten if he had a decent reputation...no $$$ and no wheels will be coming from me. The work looks nice but the headaches and BS really seem to outweigh any benefits of dealing with this guy.....what an idiot!

This is one of the last things left on my car so I guess I'll start looking for alternatives.

I'm sorry you other guys had to go through this....I can't thank you enough for letting others know what really happened.

I purchased 2 wheels from Curt. They were delivered in a very timely manner and looked Great. However, when I got the the tire shop I was invited out to look at my "bent" wheel. No matter what they tried it would not balance up or zero out. In fairness to Curt I never contacted him to resolve the problem because I sold the wheels with the car because I did not need the headache. Not too mention shipping cost back and forth. So I don't think I have a valid complaint.

Patton, with your restoration skills I recommend finding some with decent chrome and restoring them yourself :TU: My original wheels balanced right up with almost no weights.
