Drove race car around the block. Back in garage driver side front end sitting way low back passenger way high. Thought i had bad front spring, replaced them still same issue. Dont see anything bent (a arm ) anyone see this issue before? Bad ball joint, bad back spring, bad shocks ? Im out of ideas,…..

If you have a flat section of concrete then place the car there and Jack up the front end of the car, set it on blocks exactly the same height. Then look to the rear and see if sits crooked or not. Repeat with the rear end jacked up to see which corner is causing the issue.

I had this issue with my 75 Regal and I ended up finding the right rear corner was the issue. I added a 1” spring spacer and it solved the issue. The ideal way would be taking it to a chassis shop and having them use precision tools to measure everything.

We’re all control arms torqued with the suspension under load?

Like Brian said check the control arms for binding. Also if you have an anti roll bar check that for binding as well.

Axle tubes can twist. I worked on a 68 Caddy that was sitting higher on one rear side vs the other and the spring perch was up on one side. Axle tube was twisted.
My crazy boss heated the coil (right next to gas tank) with a torch on the right side until it drooped enough.

Older post follow up, after some back problems I finally got around to these suggestions and found a bent lower front a arm on my 72. Question, is the global west lower tubular replacement going to be a good option for my race only car? Dont really care to replace everything at the moment, dr bills first. Lol. Thanks everyone.

I would personally just use a stock control arm.

So i ended up going with new stock pieces. Couldn’t justify spending a lot of money when i dont race much anymore. Looks like the old arm bent upward at the ball joint area on passenger side! Very odd, never seen that happen. Fatigue maybe? 50 years old can do that i guess.
