I picked up a m20 no bell housing and a hurst shifter out of a 67 chevelle.
I want to put this in my 67 gs 400 with a 455 bbb.
I had a turbo 400 in the car prior.
what bell housing is needed 9783111 is what I found, what else is required
I know the center console i have is auto
the cut in the floor i have no idea where.
the pedal assembly I have questions about that to.
right now I have the car in pieces. the frame Is done and ready to build on, so before I go to far one way.
i'd like to know how hard this is going to be. $$$

3K to 4K to do it correctly. There is a post in which we enumerated the parts. Here is one but not the one I am looking:

I did mine for well under 2k including the trans and some upgrades. Granted, that was me scouring for a while for good deals on used parts that I blast/paint/recondition myself, but it can be done.

As an aside, depending on what it is, may be interested in the shifter if you unload it.... :)

I did the conversion on a 72 suncoupe simply by buying a 71 4 speed gs parts car. Got EVERYTHING needed for the swap for 300 bucks + about 400 for various new parts. Find a roached out standard trans partscar

If you are not concerned with it looking original I would keep it simple and install a hydraulic kit. I converted mine to a 4 speed 10 years ago and at the time there was no reproduction parts available. I figured it would be easier to spend 300 bucks at summit and have everything I need versus searching for a used z-bar setup. It was very easy to do, and is perfectly reliable...
