I'm going to put Wayne into the low 10.40's over the 2 day event as #1
    qualifier in F.A.S.T.
    and,
If Jimmy brings the Silver Streak, I'm going to say he will shoe the car to
another 11.5x pass and be #1 qualifier for Factory Stock (which is entirely
    different than Stock Appearing b.t.w.)

This is with good weather condition's, if it end's up muggy with a low
barometer, than these guesses go out the window

Two L-88 Vette's as low E.T., huh? I know what I'm building next :Brow:

10.40's at Martin?? No chance.Ok,if the weather was downright cold, like in the 40's,AND the track was prepped like they do for the NHRA Top Fuel circus, then thier might be a chance. Those kind of numbers are really only possible in E-Town.In my opinion anyway.

Wayne -- I could tow you down the 1320 with the Biscayne if you think it would help. :)

Maybe if you could just push me for the first 60 ft or so...

If you're looking for a track with that kind of bite, it's Norwalk. Englishtown and Martin don't have it, won't have it, no matter how much stuff gets poured on the starting line.

Too bad the rental rates at Norwalk are so high, but I guess the bite there is why their bookings are so full.

It's the only track I have seen that, when you look at it from the stands, looks like a black mirror...... :TU:

Amen, John. I was able to launch the Ramrod at 5000 with a hard dump at Norwalk and consistentlly got sixty footers in the 1.90's with one 1.90 (against Casey. That was fun for 200 feet.) Best I could do at Martin a month later was 2.0's with a lot more feathering and much lower launch RPM. I think that still was better than Stanton, though.

I love the protree at the Martin races. Deep stage and let her go!

I've heard that Milan really hooks now. (Used to be like driving in the snow). That may be true for slicks and race tires, not sure about Polyglas or Stones. Anybody tried it lately on our setups?

I ran last fall at Milan and snagged my best 60' times there. I went three rounds in their Saturday bracket races. Had a .002 and a .004 light too!
When I first started in the PSMCDR my 60's were always 2.32! I wish I could have a run a dial-in for 60 times!! This year at the PSMCDR I was down into the 2.02-2.03 range.
Running at Milan, I was in the 1.97-1.98 range. Now, the one difference that I can note is the fact I was doing the burnouts in water-unlike the dry burnouts we are used to in PS/FAST. I wonder if this helped heat my tires better??? A figment of my imagination?? Or was Milan's surface ~that~ much better?? Or, a combination of all three?? :Do No: Regardless, I'll take the 1.97!

I would love to see Wayne get into the 10.40's but unfortunately the car would out run it's safety equipment (if it hasn't already) and be sent home at any NHRA track worth it's insurance policy. That would be an easy way for the other guys to finally ban it though :Dou:
I still predict Wayne to have low e/t though :beer

My car is legal till 9.99 or 135mph at any NHRA track.

True, true.........now you just have to convince Bozo.

9.99 out of the Minnesota missle.....

Is that with or without the 'Casey the Tugboat' assist? :Dou:

For the Factory Stockers, I will say JJ runs 11.69 :Brow: and Pete will run low 11.90's. I know go out on a limb! :pp

That is good to hear Wayne!!!!
You have built a car that is FAST legal and NHRA legal!!! Who else can make that claim :Do No: Dave came pretty close to testing his equipment at English town  That would have been a hell of a way to find out if cutting corners would really be safe.
It is refreshing to see that safety is important. Tires are the last remaining issue. The NSCA has encouraged us to run drag radials for safety, even had a sponsor step up if we do.
Armed with Wayne's e/t limits who can meet the challenge now!! :Dou:

I would not be so quick to annoint Wayne in June....there seem to be a lot of new FAST cars coming out, and Wayne has a huge bullseye on his forehead :eek2:

plus, if he cleans up at the Hemming race, I think they are going to ban him

For the Pure Stock low ET, I see a suprising 11.42 out of Casey's Biscayne. I know he was been squirrled away all winter working on the car, throwing people off with posts mentioning just painting the engine a little, and besides, this stuff is more fun when everyone thinks Casey is cheating :moonu:

There is a fine line between cheating and running on the ragged edge of the rules. All the fastest cars are on the edge and cheating depends on who's interpretation? :Brow:

4.56's and better 60 ft's are about all I'm focusing on this year. Heck, I may even check to see what jets are in the Holley. :) They do put jets in those things, don't they ??? :Do No:

That Corvette is the most legal going, banning it would drive a stake in the heart of FAST.
Before banning that car you guys should look at aluminum radiators, aluminum bumper brackets, batteries hidden behind panels in trunks, hemi carbs that are too big for the application and a host of other violations. Those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
I would be very surprised to see any of the "new" FAST cars contend with Wayne. They haven't yet and what could have been changed or learned over the winter to make a difference? Changing makes and models has a learning curve built in also so don't expect to see anything spectacular from anyone new. Any car and driver new to the format is going to be heavily scrutinized if they contend. If you cut me I would bleed Mopar but sorry to say the Mopes don't have anything for Wayne's car. The only real compoetition is from Terry's Camaro. The Mopars are light years behind on 60' and that isn't going to change anytime soon. The Irons boys have the traction figured out but I doubt they would help any of the FAST Mopars, they would sooner help the Chevies :spank:
Back to the banning, NASCAR caught a guy blantantly cheating and suspended him for 4 weeks, FAST has banned a guy for life who was totally legal until it suited FAST to have him illegal. He was told, "We underestimated you..." FAST can do what ever they like and probably will but it doesn't work for rule makers and enforcers to be racers. That hasn't and will never change. In NASCAR nobody who officiates owns or races a car in any series under the management of NASCAR. The best hope they had for a legitmized situation was when Bobby did the tech but he has moved on. You guys missed the boat on a sanctioning body helping out due to how things are run and who runs it. Banning Wayne would the final nail in the coffin and egos would probably let that happen.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled program :bglasses:

What reason could anyone possibly use for banning my car?? Driver too good looking?(must be the cool hair style)Excessive paint chips on my rear quarters?? What?? It won't happen.Their goal is to build a car that BEATS me,banning my car would accomplish nothing.Except forcing me to build a FORD !!!!!!

Roadrunner69, your link to the NSCA site doesn't work. Did the NSCA ever develop a factory appearing class ? Are there any Factory Stock results posted for any of the past events ?
