  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things.   3. The "Group Buy" for the 1967-68 Deluxe Steering wheel recasting is now officially "Open". Now is the time to start sending in the wheels. The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. If you send in more than one wheel, each additional wheel will cost $700. Shipping and insurance to Kochs and return shipping will be extra. Low buck bbb bracket builds

    I've got 5 455 motors laying around a long with a 69 skylark no title car laying around and thinking about throwing together a low buck 1/8th mile bracket car. Be nice to run in the 6.xx range, any advice on how to do it on the cheeeeep

    Like to add also have a 5.3 6.0 and 454 peanut port laying around also, but would rather keep it Buick power unless the 454 can put me where I want cheaper and live longer

    Two options imo
    70 455 with shim gaskets
    Fly cut the pistons
    Pack as much cam as you can
    The 413 will run 720s with a stock 70 455 longblock....WITH the supporting mods
    I don't see 6s without TA heads...unless its gutted to nothing

    Use the low compression 455....S475 turbo
    Run mid 6s

    Cheapest and fastest option is turbo the 5.3/6.0

    Have a 70, 73, 74, 74, 76 shortblocks, same heads except the 70 heads are on my street car

    Your best combo with what you have is IF THE 70 PISTONS ARE USEABLE....and IF the 73+ blocks will hold a standard piston...put the 70 pistons in the later block....deck the block 20tho...cut the 73 or 74 heads 20....fly cut the pistons....cam the **** out of it....SP1 intake...4k stall....410 gear....gut car....you should get really close to 6.80s
