Hello all, another long shot but here goes.....my 70 stage 1 is missing its original block and trans. My cousin bought this car in 1981 in New Britain,CT,did not blow the engine, but removed it because it was smoking.Had a 73 short block rebuilt, put a new stage 1 cam in,and switched over the heads intake and carb from the orig motor. As he can recall, for those who live in CT,gave the short block to Dons speed shop on the berlin turnpyke,I checked, its now gone.He sold the car in 83,it made its way around Ct thru 3 more owners, was cloned to a GSX,and I purchased in 2004,and when going thru paperwork in glove box, found orignal title never handed in,and all the bill of sales from the original owner right thru present, and was blown away when seeing my cousins name on one bill of sale.Even contacted orig owner which stopped by with orignal pics of the car!!!!Anyway, here goes the vin on block ,and trans I am looking for,and thanks all for looking ...... 120438

Don's speed shop may be Don's Automotive specialties owned by Don Gallant. He is still there and it is possible that he may still have some of the stuff for the motor. It might be difficult to get him to dig for it though.
There was another speed shop in the area named Don's Speed Shop I believe in the sixties. This was owned by Don Raleigh-he is now in NJ but is on Ebay as oilnspeed. He has/had a website but I lost it last time I had my computer 'fixed'. it got taken out of favorites.
Either way, both guys are decent to talk to, and may have some leads.
