the brass bushing is not busted this time. But I do not have spark. Last time this happened I took the distributor apart and found a busted brass bushing. I put it back together and the car ran great. I don't know what is shorting out inside of the distributor. But I have power to it. I went ahead and called TA and I have a new small cap distributor coming and a round style coil. I look forward to having the ability to limit my mechanical advance and have more room under the hood. The large-cap HEI required grinding on the intake to fit and still rubs the radiator hose. 20220606_154153.jpg

    Looks good!
I used to run the k&n flow thru lid & quit.
I have suspicions that the underhood bracing interrupted the airflow.
I run a 3-1/2" filter and my lid is abt 1/2" from hood bracing.

    Just something to think about.....

I had heard somewhere they disrupted the airflow.

The other option is the Chrome air cleaner lid with the 350-4 sticker. Am I really out anything running this one? If there is a restriction it's no different than a solid lid at that point right?

Or...maybe a big hole in the hood for a velocity stack.:D
Reid, it's just my perception on the GS hood center area...it's kind of a trapped center section.
