Bruce said it went to Ohio. I wish I could have driven it more. I think it had a few gremlins in it. A OD will be nice in that car. The guy I bought it from has a clean gate for it if you go that route. The carb was off of a 69 350 and should have been jetted. Like I said I got it running, did the exhaust, and then the trade deal came along, so I grabbed it. Best of luck with it. I will see if I can find a pic of it when I got it with the champ 500 wheels on it, electric fans, and all the hot rod stuff. Tony

The car sure needs that gate but the check-book says no. If the guy starts complaining about it being in his way or talks about getting rid of it let me know.
That OD is the best thing I ever did for a GS. I want one in my convertible now. The next upgrade for the wagon is a 12-bolt posi thats laying in the barn. Just have to decide what gear to put in. It is a 4:11 now and thats more than I want. Have also been thinking about a set of torque thrust D wheels for it. Mabye I should start buying lottery tickets.

John, I put 3:90's in my wagon with the 200r4 and I am really happy with it. In lock up it glides down the road. I thought 4:10's were a final drive of 2:73 with the 700R. It may worth a try. Tony

According to the gear chart the tranny shop has heres what you get with a 4:11 and a 700 1st 12:58 2nd 6:70 3rd 4:11 4th 2:88. That sounds good to me as 2:73 was the stock gear in a lot of Electras My original plan when I got the rear was to put it in as is and see how it did but when I took it apart to put seals in the wear pattern on the ring gear didnt look so good and it has way too much back-lash. Decided I might just as well rebuild it out of the car and now is the time to pick the gear. I want to get the code off the axel in the car to find out for sure what it has now and go from there as it is not too bad now.
What is youre rpm at 70 mph with the 3:90? John

Belle still looks pretty good despite siutting outside for 4 years in the hot AZ sun. I painted her myself. The Skylark gets the garage..as well as my wife's Roadmaster. Belle and my Miata have to sit outside!

Mike,That is too weird we both have a yellow Sportwagon and a Katelyn. My daughter claims the wagon as hers. She is only 6 but that car is hers.

Tim, I was going to congratulate you on your Sportwagon. Love the color.

The bright sunlight kind of washed out the color in mine, but you can tell what color it is.

My 3 youngest love Belle, my oldest is 15 and doesn't understand what "cool" really is...lol.
