    It's been a while since I last visited, I'm affraid I got side tracked by a Triumph TR6 :)
Anyway, I'm looking for people's opinion of aftermarket ignition systems. Either the old MSD or newer Holley digital CD system.

I run a 4.6 (Land-Rover), which you will be happy to hear is infact a Buick rip off under the aluminium skin, 350 style rods and pistons, turbo style x-bolting, 215 style heads, etc:Dou:
I run it on Propane in the UK, actually LPG gas, the gas is 115 octane to I run huge advance, and am contemplating opening up the plug gaps and leaning down the mixture to improve economy. However the standard ignition system may be improved upon, as although it's electronic, using a chrysler style magnetic pickup it only fires one spark pulse per compression event and LPG is more difficult to ignite than petrol, it also has a pretencity to 'go out:Do No: '

What's the word on improved tickover with MSD or Holley Capacitor discharge systems in the states? I also need the ability to retard the spark some 8 - 10 degrees when running on petrol.

Alastair www.ajmac.co.uk for loads of 4.6 information.
