Yes Ken is the man. I bought a 8.5 rear from him. Hasn't gotten here yet, but I have the utmost confidence that its gonna be great. Super guy to deal with, and keeps you updated every step of the way. Gonna be sending a carb to him soon as well. Good to know there are good guys left to deal with.
Thanks Gents I try to be a reasonable person and to treat customers the way I would like to be treated. If a customer is not happy then I am not happy. Good luck with your projects, and stay in touch - let me know how the equipment works out.
My props to Ken also! Bought a used cam and lifters, he shipped them right out, and they were just as he described. I would definitely trade with him again. Thanks Ken!
Ken is such a great guy that I paid out of my pocket to get him an advertising spot in Canadian Hot Rod Magazine! In return Ken has provided many great running Q jets for me!!!!
I agree - Not only provided a great running carb, but took the time to teach me quite a few things..He deserves all the recognition he has coming. BTW Ken - shooting for a Track Rental day on April 26th.....get something dug out and running!
hehe yea all snowed in atm. first up will be getting the 430 running in the Skylark. 3.73s with a 200-4R comp268 cam. Mild street burner. of course with a modded Qjet!
no i didnt give up. I just havent had the time to mess with it and its been keeping the Buick off the road which has frustrated me. Also the turbo in the trunk was wicked loud. So I am going with the econobuild 430 this summer for driving pleasure. The 350 is on a stand and I am going to manifold-mount the turbo. I did change the 350 back to a stock cam to recapture some of the low end. The boost will give me all the oomph I need once I get it dialed. eventually
Ha - mash it all together and Turbo the 430! Good to have options anyway. How's the chromate process going? I've got a 17059247 I'm playing with, I'd love to plate it if you've got it down.... Another question - this thing looks like a porcupine, and I've started pulling out the vacuum ports I wont need - what do you use to plug them? Threaded plugs, JB Weld, etc...???? Thanks, look forward to getting out there....
Had the 800cfm carb Ken had built me refinished in black oxide for my fuel system upgrade and it looks sweet. Hopefully next year it will have a freshly build motor to sit on. Please excuse the mess, old picture while I was mocking things up
Yes Bob same price, same zinc chromate finish, but obviously black. Fuel and carb spray proof, wont rub off or melt. mean looking in black and silver!
