Pink elephant aka figment of our imaginations. It would be nice if we heard something. We have alot of money invested and still nothing
whats going on its been a long time since the first block was poured? I thought by now someone would have one.. you would think that J B would have at least built one by now any info guys?mike :jd:
No block yet. Rod keeps getting told next week and still nothing. Dick doesn't even have a reason as to why he isn't finished yet. We wouldn't have a problem with it if he said the block won't be done until June or what ever... but this next week crap is old. :af: From what we were told it doesn't look like it is happening anytime soon.
So how about lets make up some reasons for the delay  I heard it Broke in two pieces when the mains were torqued for the align bore.....or they tried to bolt a bell housing onto it and about half of the holes were misaligned?
Danie Was the "Not anytime soon" speculation,Or did someone actually say that? I'm w/o a motor so I should be a real joy to be around by about June or so... :af: :af: :af:
this is what happens when you have to deal with small companies , they dont have the money or the people to get the job done in a timely fashion. just like when i orderd my heads from TA it took six months to get them ..hang in there guys it will be worth the wait , i think? o No: P S Danie i got a chance to see you on the BPG video what a hottie ..lol :jd:
Glen, I have been assured that there is absolutely no truth to the broken misaligned rumor you heard about. There was a pre production block at the PRI show. Production blocks are being poured now. Being involved in the design and development of aftermarket blocks myself I can appreciate what Dick is going through and also have a lot of respect for his abilities and his previous proven successful accomplishments in the aftermarket cylinder head and block projects he has been involved with.
Sure sounds great to me! Maybe they're seasoning them like the factorys did back in the early days .... burying them in burlap sacks in the ground for two years to make sure the casting is fully stablized before final machining. uzzled: It's okay 2 more years isn't that long to wait. Pete
Brian, I was making light of the situation at hand. (long wait) With a complete 525 rotating assembly waiting under the bench...I've been watching the development of this piece with interest. :3gears: Seriously guys I hope the new block is soon through the R&D phase and in the hands of the folks who need them... :TU:
Glenn was joking. Dick can't give us a reason why it isn't done yet so we should just make up our own. Rod has talked directly to Dick a few times,, he give a simple thing that need to be done and tells him it will be done by the weekend, then doesn't call to say it won't be done. When you call him again he says it will be done this coming weekend. Same thing happens,,, no call, no reason, no block. If Dick is having problems with something, fine, but don't keep pushing it off a week at a time. Lay it on the line and say it won't be done for a few more months or something. Brian ,, has he enlighten you on why it isn't done? Eager racers would like to know.

New block O.K. It only took 35 years or so to prduce a new block, right? So what is the hurry with everyone? Give it time guys! These things just dont happen over night. This is a huge project! Everyone seems so impatient. Good things come to those who wait. Im just happy we are getting finally getting a new block. Thanks Jim B. and Dick B.
Jim & Dick- I don't think you understand. We have been patiently waiting for this block. The frustration is coming from the fact that we were told we would have it in a week two months ago. I'm fine with the fact that things like this take time.... Which is great because I want it done right. But don't tell us it's done then push it off week by week with no reason. I don't know what everyone elses situations are, Rod is in bad need of this block. He's been waiting on putting together another block because he was repeatedly told this one would be done in time. Luckily Mike at TA has got a finished block we can use until this one comes out. It would be great if the new block was done,,, but it's not and we have no clue when it will be or what the hold up is. I just want to make it clear that our only problem here is that we are getting pushed off week by week with no updates as to why. If it isn't going to be done until June or so just let us know. That's all I'm saying.
