    Geez!
    Something wrong w/ this thread.
    Here's how i see it:
If you help somebody build a car, or give parts to somebody for their build. You're helping because you want to, not because your becoming half/part owner of the car. The OWNER is still responsible for the decisions he takes w/ his/her project. If the project doesn't work out or its not what the OWNER wanted, he can sale, trash, burn the project if likes to. Let's not become enemies because of one car.

"Cant we all just get along?"

you all should read, and understand this statement from the post by Marvin's 65

    quote:

so, since I was the only owner, I was well within my right to do what I did.

    I am leaving the board.
    goodbye.

so why would you put ta aluminum heads, sp1, heaers, aftermarket built tranny int it. You where going to race it....on the street. that my freind is not legal, if you wan to get into that

    Our time was wasted.
    glad you enjoyed our time

    Right....
I don't believe you are really conserned about that. that was repairable/replaceable anyway

wear and tear on your mom's car.... what about the hundreds of hours mike Garrison put into that car... FOR FREE. And your griping about wear and tear on your car?:spank:

Jeff i am aware of the rules and have read them. I do not beleive to be in contradiction of them. I am stating fact. and the good people of this board need to know of your tactics. this should not be deleted. if it does my id may be pulled from v8 at the same time... i will be done here... period.

    That is harassment.

The point is... IF that is what he wants to do (not far off) then no one should waste their time and parts on him again.

Yes... we do. that is why when we saw an individual with a buick that needed help... we dove in. That is the classic Buick community at work. We took care of him. Mike even fronted him money for required parts.

    oh come on now..............

1: the reason that the engine was built like that,

is I always wanted an engine built that way.no, I was not going to street race

2:eek:h yes I was concerned about the seat belt issue. I saw no valid reason to have cut them out.

3: at the time, the car I was using to drive there and back was in MY name

4:eek:nce a thread is locked, it's done. it was sneaky how gsdave got it moved here.

5:saying "now leave me the hell alone" is NOT harassment. constant b!tching about what I did with the car, IS

6:Mike and I came to an agreement on what I owed him, that's been settled beween us.

7:this is what you call "getting along"??

8:true, a lot of people did help on it, but at no time was I told I had to keep that car whether I liked it or not.

9:"The OWNER is still responsible for the decisions he takes w/ his/her project. If the project doesn't work out or its not what the OWNER wanted, he can sale, trash, burn the project if likes to."

is the above statement THAT hard for any of you to understand??

Re: Jeff Wecker... now that that i may speak.

OK first off I do have an arraingement with Jeff on this money that has been owed to me since he got his car back a year ago. I will have to say however I wasnt in very good spirits over the whole deal. And so everyone here will know what has transpired let me set the record straight.

Back in buickland Jeff was having lots of issues with his 84 electra with the new motor he had built. He was asking everyone to help him as he was at the point where he had no idea what to do. I knew he didnt have too much money but I also knew if he had enough money to spend on what he did he should have no trouble getting his car done . He in turn was to help out labor wise arouind here too to repay the time thing .

I was asked by several of the buickland people to see if I would help out since Jeff was in Abilene only about 90 miles away. And knowing that Jeff was a buick bro in need of help I set out to help him. I told him all he had to do was pay for any parts we used on his car. He agreed.

Now this is where all the posters on this boards get the recognition they deserve. ANd also who are here , frustrated with this whole deal and with Jeff and his ideas. As it appears to everyone here Jeff doesnt seem to get it but it was his car even if all of below transpired he should have gotten better advice from those who had been there since the beginnings......

GSdave .....Was in the general area for work so he took his trailer thhat day and went out of his way to go pick up the car from Jeff. Dave never asked for any money for gas and brought the car back to my house that day for nothing.

At this time I went out drove it around the block and realized this car was very unsafe it has so many things that needed addressed I proposed to jeff that we look at other options other than a 6000 lb pig of a car that needed everything and I knew of a regal that was setting that was already frame knotched for fat tires and had been a prior street runner several years ago but was just setting now.
Trey Sculley ...... THanks for making Jeff the smoking deal on the car even if the pontiac rims never come back.

Then we proceeded to fix the engine problems and took the electra apart to use it for the peices to fix the regal into what it became... one bad ass regal. I had it set up to run good no questions ask there. BUt it had some electrical problems so I enlisted ROb Burk to help out to iron out those issues.

Rob......thanks for giving up a half dozen weekends to help me on this deal. You certainly know your stuff when wires are involved.

Well knowing Jeff was in the hole with me since I had the extra money I did pay for almost the last 2 monthes worth of parts so it could get finished even thou I knew Jeff had no job.... I then took the car back to jeff at my expense and was hoping he would get me paid soon at that point. We are both from Kansas and we both love buicks so I figured I was safe.

THere were a few parts that I wouldnt scrimp on but for the most part I used everything in my power to save him as much money I could so he could go around to the strip's with us and play at all the events. Safety first!

NOw this is where everything gets cloudy... ALl of a sudden Jeff hasnt even tried to send me any money for a few monthes as far as I can tell $5 -10 every 2-3 monthes wasnt working. Then his car gets painted....everyone here all of a sudden felt betrayed even me. Everyone here knew he owed me money and yet he got paint done on the car , then a vinal top ......man we were all kinda kicked in the nuts about the deal. And since I was the one that had over 100 plus hours out plus he owed me money I was the one that was the most put out.

Then all of out of nowhere a 4 door cutlass???? WE were all like WTF!! The regal was owned by at least 6 of my friends and so it was clear the car was being parted and I know of one deal myself that went unanswered then its been hauled to the salvage guys????? HOLY CRAP talk about that being the straw that broke the camels back!! I held back everyone from picking on you for monthes Jeff MONTHs!!! They felt as if I was taken advantage of ..... THey feel all that donated to your cause have been taken advantage of... They all felt you played me.
    SO everyone else..............
I have made a deal on the hood and carb for the final repayment of what was owed to me that is in the works and I havent gotten them yet but they are to be mine. Dave will get the car next friday and I will see if I can go or try to get him to pick up the hood and carb at that time if Jeff dont bring it here first.

ANd lastly yes Jeff I was getting mad about the situation. I am glad we reached a settlement so we can move on , I thank you for your private apoligy maybe we will be around at the races together maybe not time will tell. I dont do car shows so I wont ever be there. Good luck with the cutlass..4 door.
I dont beleive to much more should be said as all of this will just blow up but what I said is the truth < I wrote it safely so not to stir the pot anymore than it already has been ....lock her up Dave!

BTW I am the reason its in the feedback section not GSDAVE

Jeff, just take the pontiac wheels that you owe back to Trey over the salvage yard so I can pick them up next week too.
