I am a Riv and Skylark person who doesn't know much about the Electras, Cats and other models. I recently found a 64 engine which has been sitting for many years. The previous owner pulled the engine and had it rebuilt several years back but never installed. I wanted the engine because it was a dual 4 motor. So after many years of asking, I got him to price it. After picking it up, he told me to go get the car it came from. A car was just a bonus to me. I got it hauled to my home yesterday. After looking at it, I wonder about it. It is loaded with options. My first ideal was to pull the options I wanted and use them on a future Riv, but then I hated the ideal of sending it to the grinder. Here are the quickly noted options:
    orginal dual 4 425
    eye on the dash pad
    cruise
everything power including the vent windows
    rear defroster
    am/fm
    possible locking rearend
    4 note horns

There may be more once I get time to give it a good look. So, is this rare? Or, is it normal for the Electras? I hate to crush a rare optioned car. I don't have a title, but assume the guy has it if I ask. Thanks

While there are no records I know of of how many non Rivs came with the A2 dual quad engine package I would guess its somewhere around the percentage of A2 non GS Rivs, which is 454 in 65. I'd say you got yourself a stuffed to the gills car there John.

The rarest option is certainly the dual quad. Not many Electras came with all these options in 1964. Is it a 4 dr or a 2 dr?

If you decide to sell parts out of it, I'd be interested in the Guide-Matic.

Thanks for the replys guys. The car is a 4 door hard top. Body is still good with a minor rust issue. Interior is complete in need of seat covers, headliner and carpet. I don't know what to do with it.

Would you sell the Electra? If so, let me know. I have several, and am always looking for others. Is it a four window hardtop or six window hardtop? Also, what color is it? But, do one thing, do not crush the car...

    Thank you,

Found runst on the bottoms of the rear doors.
N.O.S. AC air breather for the dual 4 breather laying in the back seat.

    Matt,
If I decide to sell, I will let you know. Still in the decision stages right now.

    64 Electra

Cool, just let me know. I have a loaded 64 Electra four door six window hardtop, but it does not have as many options as yours, so I would be interested in it. I like those Electras, and I really like the four door four window hardtops. Thanks again, and have fun,

    Matt
