FED-X is horrific in terms of customer service...the absolute worst.

E3A55EF9-3354-4C39-B4FF-883702830B07.jpeg I ordered brake and fuel lines for the 69 wildcat and the fuel lines never made it far enough to go over the rear crossmember, the rubber lines would have had to be 4 feet long to get to the fuel tank sending unit from the steel line. I called and they explained I had to order lines for a 68 wildcat and I would get a discount but couldn’t return them from Canada...ok so the next set comes in exactly the same length so I give up and will make my own. Anyone need fuel lines for some kinda car, I have 2 sets, more parts that don’t fit

Who remembers PAW--used to be a major supplier to car guys, like a predecessor to Summit/Jegs? They are a history lesson that Inline Tube should learn. When I tore down my 430 to rebuild it, I ordered most of my parts from Kenne Bell, but I ordered a McLeod clutch and pressure plate from PAW. When it arrived, it didn't want to fit very well, and after forcing it a little too much, I realized it must be for some engine other than BBB. So I got a return authorization, returned the WRONG part that THEY had mistakenly sent me, and they said "It's been damaged so we won't replace it, and won't refund ANY of your money." They wouldn't even send the damaged Mopar (or whatever it really was) clutch back to me. I swore I would never buy anything from PAW again, and I kept my promise. Now PAW seems to be pretty much down the tubes. They made that fatal mistake in the customer service dept.

I just found this on another forum:

What Happened To PAW? May 20, 2016, 07:16 PM
I was fixin' to sign off for the night and somehow PAW (Performance Automotive Warehouse for you young un's) came to mind. I Googled them and they still have a tiny presence as an Ebay store but no clue as to what happened. They used to be HUGE and were sort of THE place for mail order (before online) speed parts and hard engine bits. Maybe they just ran out of steam or what? Any knowledge out there?

they went from being reasonably price for a catalog to killed by the other online-ebay-retailers. Even before the ebay death blow, their customer service was nonexistent. evolve or die. Doing it all wrong since 1966

Costs, personalities, suppliers, general business model? Apparently a winning start became a losing operation...l..

I heard that near the end, PAW was specializing in early Hemis.
I for one was glad to see them go. I ordered stuff from them twice, and it didn't end up very well either time.
Summit does good by me. And they've been around a long time, since the 70s at least.

Agree on Todd and Gardner guys. Also Summit is nice to deal with. The sent me parts that were wrong. An email and a picture was enough the sent the correct parts even overseas. Plus they ship USPS Priority...fast and cheap. Never had anything damaged...can't say that about UPS, anf FEDEX

I ordered a fuel line from Inline Tube once. That cured me from ever ordering from them again.

I ordered a complete stainless brake line kit from them years ago for my 65 Special project. Not one line was correct. They said it must be me because nobody else has any issues.

Maybe they should change name to "Out-of-line" Tube? that should -straighten- things out.... My experience with vendor is same as above; I had almost moved on from those fond memories. The email comments and exchanged pictures are all coming back into focus.

I have dealt with Inline Tube for a good 20 years. They have raised the bar in restorations, and brought a lot of products to market that were not available anywhere, and still are not. However, just as anything else, there their greatness is fading with time. Quality control is declining, and a lot of their products do not look as good or are not the same as they were in years past. It’s the downside of getting too big for your pants. I have always dealt with James directly, but even that is getting more difficult. Must be too busy showing off your superior car collection and winning events that your own people are judging.
