I figure if Jim finishes my engine up I should probably have brakes.

I have everything, it is mostly installed and plumbed but never had fluid in any line.

After I bench bleed the master and install it, are there any secrets or best methods for charging all the lines?

I would open all the bleeders and let the system gravity bleed. Keep an eye on master cylinder levels. Then close all the bleeders and bleed each corner one at a time in the conventional manner. If you have access to a pressure bleeder that would be an alternative.

Larry - what about also keeping the brake pedal depressed part way with a piece or wood or a tool designed to do that?

Why? No need to touch the brake pedal to gravity bleed.
